As Kharn has said before, there is no way of saying ANYTHING about the likelihood of ANYTHING happening if you don't know anything about it. And you don't know anything about it.

How do you know he does not know SOMETHING about ANYTHING related to the likelihood of ANYTHING. If there is indeed SOMEONE taking care of us (or not , just watching). There is the possibility that there is NOTHING at all and the probability of that is the same as having ANYTHING. ANYONE can say that there is SOMEONE out there watching us but how can ANYONE be sure about that? The problem here is that ANYONE can say SOMETHING about ANYTHING related to SOMEONE and there is no way to prove that he is wrong or right.
How do you know what you know is really what you think you know? How do you know that you are not a brain in a vat? :?

That was hist point, y'know

I was thinking about Christianity and the whole "Christ dies for our sins" schtick and the "If I believe in God, even though he be a sinner on earth, so he shall be saved," crap.

What a wonderful opportunity for abuse. I mean you can be a complete shit in life and think, "But I believe in the love of CHrist" and still make it to Heaven.

And that the poor bastard in some god-forsaken part of the world who has lived the life of a saint but doesn't believe in Christ is somehow damned for it.

It's not fucking fair.

Honestly, I have more respect for the bastards trying to make the world a better place than those who try to make it to heaven by getting good with God.

But I don't like ass kissers much. If I was God, I wouldn't either.

And this whole, "Christ dies for my sins stuff," would have to be redone.

No, dude you die when it's your time to go and meet the maker and pay your dues. End of story.

And no, this whole, "Those who believe in me will be redeemed" crap, that's got to go.

If you were a fuck in life, you roast. Period.

How about this, Everybody pays their dues.

Whatever your sins in this world, you pay for it in the next. If you were a worthless fuck, you pay. If you were a great person, you don't got to pay much.

Every damn Christian has to pay for your sins. There is no "loophole" that lets you out because you believed in Christ.

I think that's a better rule. Everybody pays.

If God exists and he's Justice, then Welsh is right. But if he's Love, he lets all to Heaven. I don't think why should I sacrifice for God rather than to other people and improving the mankind (notice the Darwin Awards).

I believe people who are serving God and only God are near to common sinnersfor not doing too much for society. Though there are some priests that show some people their life sense.

But what is good and what's evil? The good thing is to get closer to the main target of life. There are two that I think can be worth life. One is to help the suffering. That means that all the money and efforts should go for it. That means a civilization stagnation. The second is to improve everything. It's done the best with help of evolution - that means we should let live only the ones that are the best in something. The ones that are suffering are usually not worth it.

My point is that sometimes you have to choose between evil or evil. There can't be clear rules that determine if you go to heaven or hell.
The best and simple example is war. As a soldier you're the same as any other for God. But you're a soldier, so you think you can kill, and that's not a sin. If you were a civilian, you wouldn't.

But most of situations you just see what is right and what is plain wrong and the choice is clear.

This had me cracking out in laughter. There is no way I would be a budhist, as the idea of carrying a broom/brush everywhere just does not appeal to me.

Huh?

What does brooms have to do with anything?

If you are talking about the insect thing(not harming a life), that's not a very big majority.

And so, in the end, I ask myself, do I really give a fuck? And you know what? My answer would be: No

Makes sense since I consider myself an agnostic (I find atheism as flawed as theism, BTW). The whole line of questions seems flawed though since I sincerely doubt that I share more than a tiny fraction of belief with Scientologist.

All i can say is What the Heck!?!?! :look:
As i am not Jewish or Sikh. Heck i do not even know what half of these religions believe in.
Me thinks this survey is cracked.

Cheers Thorgrimm

Well, the survey would only be able to tell how your answer to those specific questions correspond to the respective religions/philosophies, so in that sense it's severely flawed.

Let's see, generally okay. I'm an atheist, but I do believe that humans can improve their condition (still not a Humanist though). I'm insulted about a score over 20 percent for Mormonism and Scientology, both petty cults. I also hate the stupidity of Christian Scientists, that is a religion that should be outlawed (because it harms practitioners, I have dead relatives to prove it).

By the way, who says religion has to be fair? There's no obligation for religion to be such.
