Good, so you were joking? god... I'm glad work stopped doing PC repair and is sticking to being an ISP... I can see the latest cup holder problem now...

I'm thinking about building myself a new machine. But as a novice this is fairly daunting; does anyone know of a good website that I could go to which lists the major (and minor) parts I'd need to buy, along with couple websites with links? I'm thinking Newegg.com right now, but if you know of another site for pieces, I'd love to hear about it.

Here's my sexy sweet computer.

HP pavilion xt948
Pentium 4 1.59 Ghz
512 MB Ram
everything is stock, including video card and hard drive. Oh, the CD-burner and DVD-rom also stopped working, and I don't have the speakers anymore.

My software is extremely customized though, I gutted my XP and hacked it to death, and I'm working with Lightstep on a custom built theme. It's very secure and faster than it would be otherwise.

God I wish i had money to spend on computer parts, though...
