Actually, it is T-45d, which was confirmed by JE Sawyer (lead designer of Van Buren and Fallout: New Vegas). Bethesda simply ignored the MFC part, just like they did with the Ripper, simply because the engine did not allow armor and melee weapons to be powered by any "ammo".
you mean they did not cared to "work" around that part. They might have just completely ignored it cause they seen it eventualy not as important enough, but I am sure its less a issue of engine limitations considering the fact that Bethesda has full access to the engine and could do what ever they want with it given enough time of course. Hell the most simple way would have been eventualy to let the MFC ammo work like a "spell" in the end which just has a pretty long time before it wears of and you have to "cast" it with a item again. It works with alchemy and drugs where they would increase stats this items could increase the defence of your character and decrease the weight of any armor and a simple script check could have let this only work when the player is using a power armor.

They really should have upgraded from that shitty, shitty engine that they use.
I think they might borrow Id's engine. Hopefully, they will. Gamebryo is getting old as hell.

Ah yes, Zenimax has Id, I forgot.

Well, being a fan of Id software I can trust their Id Tech Engine 5 will beat the shit out of Gamebryo, Id Tech Engine 4 was better.

And Brink, which is using Id Tech Engine 4 is being published by Bethesda: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brink (click Brink (Video Game), it won't URL properly).

Though publish =/= develop anyway.

I think the regular grey BoS Power Armor from Fallout 3 is the best looking. You did forget "Tribal Power Armor" though, which is unique looking.

I also think that the Hellfire Power Armor is stupid. It looks like a bunch of safes or airplane blackboxes that somebody hollowed out and put on themselves in segments. I never wear it.

The Original, T-51b armor is okay, but I feel like it makes the characters look a bit "fat" or "pudgy" because it is so rounded and thick.

To be fair, its a suit of armor that makes it possible for humans to carry, fire and withstand large ordinance that would normally need to be deployed from vehicles. If anything, that's the look it needs to achieve. The other armors look flimsy and i doubt some of them could stop a 12.7mm round, let alone explosions and real combat like they PA is designed for.

T-51B looks like a real armor as well, whereas the others have too many joints and look more like a tin suit than armor, although the enclave gear in FO2 is beginning to grow on me.

Oh, yeah that makes perfect sense. I don't know much background about the armor in-game, just how they look. And I agree the Enclave armor in FO 2 is great.

And the backstory on the use of PA.

In 2067, the first suit of T-45d Power Armor was deployed in Alaska during the start of the Anchorage Reclamation in the midst of the Sino-American War. This Power Armor was incredibly effective against Chinese tanks and infantry. Its ability to allow a single infantryman to carry heavy ordinance that otherwise required a team of soldiers to transport and operate became key in various localized conflicts on the Alaskan front, and it allowed American soldiers wearing the armor to destroy entire towns occupied by Chinese troops without endangering themselves. In 2076, the more advanced T-51b Power Armor variant was introduced into combat duty.

LOL, too many jaded fallout fans here.

Of all the designs, I'm going with the Hellfire Armor.

you guys gotta be kidding  , power armor sucks, LEATHER JACKET FTW!!!

but anyway since i have to vote, i voted for advanced power armor (FO2)

I think he meant to emphasize the "jaded" part.

I'm tied between the T-51b and the T-45d/Outcast armors. I don't like how some parts of the T-51b look, but like others, just as I don't like how some parts of the T-45d look, but like others.

If they could just combine the two, and give it an Outcast paint job, I'd be happy. With how they look, at least.

I still prefer FO2 ADVPA over T-51b. Bigger, wider, bulkier, far more menacing. Power armors in Fo3, on the other hand, just don't seem to be large enough or wide enough; don't have that walking tank feeling to it. They are more like glorified whole-body plate, like those in Oblivion.

There is another texture for custom classic APA and it looks much better that original... I thought about some adjustments to geometry, but still too lazy to do it))

I like all the power armours besides the hellfire one cuz it's just ugly , but my fav one is the power armour from Fallout BOS , in BOS it's just a plain advanced power armour

Leather Jacket indeed, but I'd say of Power armour I really did like Fallout 2's Advanced Power armour and FoT's advanced power armour.

The Enclave Power Armour because....... I don't know i just like it.....

Maybe its just the fact that of the 3 times Ive played through FO3 Ive used Enclave Power Armor.

And used the FEV to poison the wastelands

I voted for advanced power armor (FO2).

However, I really like the Midwestern Power Armour (FOT) too.
The horns look strange, but rememeber: the midBOS recruited many primitives. So the armour reflected this influence.

Plus, the armor is more fearsome that the "metal can" T-51b or the "Rat-face" Advanced Power Armour, probably because the midBOS use it also for a psychological effect on "natives".

I would have liked Hellfire armor if not for the gimpy arms and piggy helmet its got going on. Would have been better with a more streamlined and manacing helmet. But nope, we got gimpy little arms that i swear are smaller then your own arms. Then again unlike the other pieces of power armor in fallout three, your character, genious that he is, doesnt removed the entire left arm below the elbow, completely rendering the whole point of powered armor being a sealed suit to protect from radiation and biological contaminants. With logic like that is only stands to reason the enclave wouldn't emply something like mustard gas to kill off, you know, everybody who is anywhere near you, instead opting to poisen one small supply of water that bearly counts compaired to the unholy shitstorm that is a mutant infested fuckign wasteland. So yeah, T-51 all the way, woo, and what the crap is with that valve crank on its back, where the hell is its pack its stupposed to have containing the 120 years of nuclear fuel to power its, you know, powered functions it doesn't have.
