np :) im in the same boat as you, you see, tell me what you go for at the end..., just curious.

I think that i'm going to install only killap patch for now. To remind myself the taste of a good old Fallout :) Since i haven't play for about 5-6 years, it should be enough for now.

After you play enough of Killap's Patch, go to Restoration and/or, if you want more radical changes, go to MIB888 Megamod, altrough it's hard to install (yes, admit it, MIB888), it's pretty good once it's installed!

It is not difficult! And I will never admit it is! :P Just copy the folder over and a few individual files. It gets difficult only when people don't read the readme to see where to copy the above or, worse, in the packaging done by others. (I submit my work one way, but others either repack it as a .rar causing problems, or add another folder level. But that's not my fault! :P)

Yes, it is! Admit it! You probrably made the installation process in a drunk night! I only managed to install it when some dude made a proper package to install it easily! Megamod Easy Install, it was  Bad thing that I had to unistall it due to bugs in my comp!

I only make a .zip archive of the configuration exactly as it is on my computer. That is what I submit. That is why it should be an easy thing to put on your computer. But, I remember that easy install one. I didn't put that together. That easy install had a bunch of bugs in it, though, because not all the files were included, and in some cases, extra .pro files were included, keeping party NPCs from leveling up.

MIB, do you write about me? ;)
My packaging is similiar to yours but in rar because this generate much smaller file. All files from mod are not changed and nothing is removed or added to archive.

However, installation of the Mega Mod is easy. Just read "readme" file.

I was talking about you! :P But only for the winrar thing. Somebody else created an additional folder level.

Seriously though, I understand the issue with putting it in .rar to make it smaller. Unfortunately, that 'read-only' issue occurs when using winrar. If everyone read the readme file and followed the instructions, then it would not be an issue. As it stands, people don't, their files get deleted, and then they are left wondering why the mod doesn't work.

I am glad my guide is being read :). Wild Qwerty (of MUTANTS RISING :P ) created the easy installer before, it might be a good idea to use him again: I am sure I am not the only one, who is tired of the noob questions.

You mean you there was a sticky up there covering this?! And a modguide too?! Who knew!?
(Now you know how I feel!)

Hello, I'm new here, and I'd like to know something. I was in the desert and I ask Sulik to wait until I come back. But when I came back to the same place on the worldmap, there's nobody. What's happening? oh and, how am I supposed to refuel the car?

P.S : I read all the stickies and used the "search" button (*everyone* : GTFO, YOU DAMN LIAR!).

MIB, that is not true. I just tested the rar packed MM from new FMC and the mod works fine. That "read-only" issue doesn't occurs when using winrar.

I have experienced this to, the files claim to be read-only but are not.

Okay i had a looksie with killap RP.I'm impressed.MIB Mega mod is also very good. It's like looking at a Ferrari place side by side with a BMW...okay enough about the car reference.
So MIB are you planning to do do your next megamod based on killap RP?

Sat 10 May.
Oh It's okay MIB you don't have to answer this. I just find out the answer while looking into your megamod thread.

Magnus Weapons Redone,

a weapon mod made by *hem* me, does a lot of things to rebalance weapons (such as reducing armor laser resistance and making grenades much more powerful) and puts useless ones back into the game.

It is also FULLY COMPATIBLE with killap's patch AND his Restoration Project. (in fact it uses his files).

And it is modular, so you can select what changes you like and leave the more drastic ones alone.

There's a link to it in my signature.
