Who wants to be a child killer?

Hah, deleted from deviantART already. Beth told him to, like they did with his Vault Boy auction?
Man, that sucks. :( Bethesda are being idiots about this for no reason.

Well, at least we still got the pic in time.

I seriously doubt that Bethesda is responsible for making him take it down.

As he said himself, its an image that would obviously be seen as offensive to many people. He likely was asked to remove it by DeviantArt, or simply thought better of it having it on there himself, once it got hosted somewhere else (here).

If Bethesda didn't want it seen, they would have asked NMA to take it down as well.

I can't recall, how does the ingame childkiller picture look like ? Could somebody paste it here ?

No, they wouldn't. Bethesda never asks us to take anything down directly, either getting the copyright holder to do it for them or just ignoring it. Fair Use protects us way too far, so they don't bother, knowing we'll say no anyway.

I'm sorry, Autoduel, but Bethesda asking him to take it down is he most likely scenario, though others are possible. Remember, we're talking about a company that asked Replacement Docs to take down the manuals for Arena/Daggerfall even though they have released the full games for free.

Fallout's character karma page

It's the same as antipathy reputation

Our karma page says antipathy. The Vault's karma page is too messy to see if it's correct. But thanks for the correction.

Thanks, indeed that's way easier on people's souls. I guess seeing a man's face up front blown to pieces, while his eyes and brain land on your pip boy is OK, but this picture is not. Brave new world!

Actually, it's the same as the hated reputation AND the antipathy reputation, since they have the same image.

And why did you quote just the first half of my sentence?

God damn, I wanted to save them but haven't done it. Damn... there have been a lot in big size. Someone got 'em still in the browser cache or saved them?

Maybe NMA should contact him for these pictures ? If you could copy from the web page, you could probably ask him for those...

I saved them as soon as I saw the Childkiller one removed. I'm going to upload them to The Vault to their respective pages.

I personally think there is a big difference between killing thieveing/annoying brats.

Killing unborn/infants though, especially at that stage of development, is hardcore. Ballsy move though.

There can be only one!! Seriously though, im stopping with the pictures now and getting back to project work....right after I read the german preview synopsis!

I've always liked the "oblivious" look on vault boy's face, it added to the joke. In a lot of ways the obliviousness reflected into the unforgiving nature of the Fallout world. When I first saw the vault boy illustrations, I took them for what they were: Vault Tec 50's style illustrations on how to deal with the world around you. But then they've became much more interesting as they evolved with the outside world (using guns, etc.), as if some how the illustrator for Vault Tec was contracted to create these crazy new vault boys and retain his innocence.

I think Bethesda's choice to change his expression loses a bit of the joke. I love how he's kicking the pregnant woman without a care in the world on his face.

I was thinking maybe a kids body lying face down and the pc with a smoking gun OR

A tombstone with the dead kid as an angel or something.
