World of Goo

i dont blame them

but i do think the move not to have any checks is naive especially when dealing with customers who can confuse it for a free product

They should have at least had a shareware "Buy Me" screen that pops up as the game starts up.

Tried the demo. The whole building controls were a bit too loosey goosey for me. I much preferred Armadillo Run over World of Goo to get my physics-based building puzzle fix.

It has great production values for such simplistic gameplay, but it IS just another "casual" game.

Piracy is illegal and all, but I have no problem with people pirating it as long as they give the developers money in some other way. Does 2D Boy accept donations? I'm sure most of the pirates are really just put off by the price tag (EUR 20 isn't much these days, but it's still not something you just shell out without knowing what you're paying for).

In a way this would be the "pay as you wish" thing all over again: and experiments have proven it profitable.

I'm pretty sure there's a free demo available, so that's not a very good argument right there.
