Worst Character In All Of Fallout?

Worst character in all of Fallout, huh?

I think I'm going to give that honor to "The Master"... Fallout Classic's wannabe nightmare-fuel baddie with what is conceivably the STUPIDEST plot in the history of all stupid plots. It is, in fact, so bad that you can actually CONVINCE him how idiotic it is and walk away whilst he presses the nuclear undo button. Because, you know, what's a post-atomic war wasteland without a few more nukes going off?

I ain't even mad... That was actually legitimately funny.

The Master wasn't aware of the Mutants sterility, he was surrounded by yes-men that kept on telling him that everything was going fine. His plan made perfect sense and would have even succeeded were it not for that one fatal flaw, a flaw that he was entirely unaware of.

His plan made perfect sense assuming a handful of things - things like 'unwillingly dipped FEV mutants never betray The Master ever no sir nope', and 'There's absolutely no way my plan could go horribly wrong at a future date because I failed to do that most critical of steps... OBSERVE... during my experimentations. Ever. No sir. Nope.'

His plan was built on the AGES-old idea that if you just removed ALL DIFFERENCE from everybody, then everybody would just get along. Not only has the most rudimentary of psychological analysis proven that mythical magical-thinking fallacy is... fallacious... but he didn't even bother to pay attention when all of his super-mutants started lacking any sexually-identifying features. So not only is the Master surrounded by yes men, but he also never thought to check to make sure his Dude-Mutants had working willies and his Dudette-Mutants had some eggs to fertilize?

AND HE WAS A DOCTOR!

Yes. Clearly this is the supreme being of absolute intellect meant to lead the world into a bright new world...

Clearly he was correct on that part, not a single mutant actually betrayed him, shit even Marcus was loyal to him, one of the few positive karma mutants and he agreed with his ideals and plans. Even if some mutants revolted it'd be a minority and they'd be crushed in order to protect the unity.

He can't observe his experiments, I think you'll note that the fucker is rooted in place, all he has are the words of yes men.

Probably James in Fallout 3 (have played 1, 3 and NV only).

It's bad enough that people point out "YOUR FATHER IS FUCKING LIAM NEESON" as one of Fallout 3's "pros". But then you see this pathetic excuse for a character, boring as he is, and you can blow up Megaton and the response you get is "I'm very disappointed in you".

This could have been a memorable moment (of sorts) where he casts you away and the main quest progresses entirely different. But no, there's only one faction and you are stuck with it, so you have to deal with what's probably the worst paternal reaction to mass murder ever seen in a videogame.

I'm surprised Preston Garney hasn't been mentioned. He was one of the blandest characters I've seen in any video game.
If we're going via original/New Vegas standards however... then that's impossible as every character I can think of is at least written well.

If I had to choose a badly written character from the originals, I guess it'd be Sulik, he wasn't very well written, the Slag leader maybe? He was nonsensical at times. Can't think of a single badly written character from 1/NV though.

Gotta go with Preston Gravey. He's just such a shit character... He's annoying, not interesting despite hiw hard Bethesda tried to make him likeable.

Eh, if I have to choose one I'll definitely pick Easy Pete. Mostly because there's a set of particular responses given in succession that feels like the devs reused voice assets in response of actual dialogue.

"Bad trouble"
- "That's helpful"
"Welcome"
-"Good bye"
"Yep"

Worst character in Fallout 4 is the player character frankly. I try so hard to roleplay something/someone in this game, but I just can't. Everytime I try to interact with some of the NPC only one thing comes out of his/her mouth: SHAAAAAAUN! And a "yes" or "no" on some rare occasions.

I know, I think her only saving grace is that she has a nice ass and tits with the naked mod

What kind of "worst" character? As in, the character who was really evil, and possibly the worst (optionally human) being to plague what's left of the scorched civilisation they once called the United States? In this case, there's a lot of antagonists that could hold the role, especially from the first game. Haven't played the first two Fallouts in a while, so I can't remember clearly the intents and purposes of many of the characters.

Or "worst" in that they're horribly written and incessantly annoying? In this case, that would be half of Fallout 3 and the vast majority of Fallout 4. There were a couple of bearable companions in Fallout 4 (Codsworth and Nick Valentine comes to mind) but literally anyone else was either incredibly stupid, incredibly rage-inducing, or just tired old clichés.

The second one altho now I'd like to hear from the first option you gave...

But I liked strong's idle chatter:
WHAT EVEN SCIENCE DO?
Was good for a laugh... Most of theconpanions had potential imo

Moira or 3dawg. I can't remember as bad characters even from PoS. Don't know what sort of shit's in Fallout 4 and don't care.

I disagree here too. Character doesn't specifically need to be 'good' to be considered good written.
She IS a Vault City Citizen after all so her bitchy behavior is legit.
No excuse. She still gives you that "bitchy behavior" when you blow up the power plant, which is what SHE TASKED YOU to do. The only time I left her alive is when I was playing a "goody-two-shoes" route.

No, to 'take care of'. Think of the radiation income. If you cannot even do your job without risking anyones' lives - well, at least lie that you did everything right. And Power Plant is not a thing to joke with.
