I watched his reviews and I wonder if he even played some of the games that he reviewed.
His FO:NV review had these complaints:
  1. It is buggy. (Legit)
  2. Gamebyro under performs. (also, legit)
  3. He says that you can't have conversations with people by implying that all NPCs are like the nameless gamblers in the Strip. Saying that you can do that in FO3 and it was a standard feature in Bethesda titles since Daggerfall.
  4. He complains about the Deathclaws and the lack of level scaling using the "YOU'RE A NERD!" argument.
  5. He literally complains that enemies are ganging-up on him. (He refers to FO3 as the first game.)
At least, he was talking about FO:NV. In his Catherine review, he was just complaining about weeaboos and anime and saying how Japanese games and cartoon inherently inferior to their Western counterparts.

While he has a few good points, many of it is drowned out by his need to show off and act like a caustic critic which really gets old, especially when he goes off on a tangent (I recall in his Deus Ex: HR review, he went off on a pointless tangent on Jim Sterling which even if it was deserved, was pretty pointless and did not contribute to anything except prove how insecure he is about those people).

As an aside, one thing I found hilarious about Razorfist is how much he hates Yahtzee despite their similarities when approaching criticism (though Yahtzee is more sophisticated and eloquent when compared to all the swearing Razorfist seems to inject into his inane ramblings).

My bias towards Yahtzee aside, it is rather hilarious that his reason for hating Yahtzee is because he assumes Yahtzee is a fraud for trying to be a reviewer (or a critic) rather than the comedian that he claims to be (presumably because of the over-analysis over the line "facade of legitimate journalism") so he hates that Yahtzee is apparently lying about what he is.
 
Why the dislike for Jim Sterling? I find him a much needed voice of reason in the industry. I don't always agree with him, but that's not something you can expect. His crusade against pre-order bullshit, shady developers and early access gold diggers is something I can definitely get behind anyway.

A friend of mine, serious player of Diablo III, said the same, in a way less hostile note. Then, he acquired DSIII for some reason, and a summer later, the guy was traumatized:lmao:
In the good way though, the "The game was awesome, but i'm NOT GONNA GO THROUGH IT AGAIN. EVER"
And considering that having the Diablo "chip" took him to play all through as a sorcerer :slap: and missing a secret "boss rush", he didn't even go through the worse of it
And i said, with a drip of smugness, "So is it a Diablo ripoff now?" to which he responded "It wasn't about clicks :crazy:"

In my case, I don't really care much for Jim's assessment of games since I tend to disagree on some of his reviews and points.

His crusade against anti-consumer bullshit and his tendency to bring gaming controversies to light is a good thing at least.

I guess it's just so much harder to do a gaming channel for a woman. Focus will always be on your looks first and foremost, and it's hard to have a successful channel where you don't show yourself. I started watching a newly started channel from a Swiss (I think) girl that played Dark Souls and Bloodbourne, was good at it and was funny. Her channel grew rapidly over the last few months. Now she's just gone with no word, both from YouTube and Twitter. Read a comment somewhere about some dude posting threatening stuff on her Twitter before she disappeared. Unfortunately, I think that's an all too common scenario.

The only channel I can think of that is successful and able to act like a legit let's play channel is PressHeartToContinue but I am aware that reception towards Dodger can vary.

Of course you can't always agree with someone else's opinion, and I don't think that's the point. It's certainly not a reason to hate someone, at least not when it comes to games. His channel is, at least these days, about his crusade. Hell, he loved the shit out of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and still made videos about the retardedness of the micro-stransactions, concerns over the pre-order bullshit and Square Enix's tendancy to fuck things up.

IIRC, Jim has stated some rather controversial points of views that would cause people to dislike and even hate him but I don't really keep up with Jim so I'm not sure about them myself.

For the record, I don't hate Jim and I do watch some of his Jimquisition episodes on his crusade (the Digital Homicide ones are the most prominent ones for me only because they showcase the absolute worst when it comes to anti-consumer behaviour). I even shared the videos on the Deus Ex: MD issues here twice.

Yeah, my comment was directed at those who hate/dislike him (which I see quite often) not at you particularly.

It's extremely easy to be controversial in this day and age though, especially when it comes to video games it seems. Say that you enjoy the wrong game and you'll be branded.

About female youtubers, in SPain there's Sarinha, she is even lesbian, but sadly does just gameplays on the classic let's plays Minecraft-GMod-Random games setup, and her "audience target" is sady a bit too juvenile.
There are the girls in the Yogcast too, Hannah, Zoey and Kim. I haven't found more on my side.

I like FluffyninjaLlama. It's good to have people willing to do what she does so people like me don't have to play Fallout 4 more than twice to hear all of the "funny" companion writing. She throws in Preston torture as well, so that's a bonus.

Other than that I can't think of any. I mean there's Naomi at IGN, but I only watch her videos to read the comments; if you've seen any, you'll know what I mean.

For female Youtubers I recommend GirlGamerGab. I only watched the Metal Gear plays, but at least those I liked.
And apparently all dutch girls living in Japan know each other, so she's friends with Stefanie Joosten:

It's not making much of a difference anyway, this kind of channels cannot die unless the creator does so.

On that list I went with Matty. He always felt like he'd hop on every bandwagon possible, and honestly his taste in games outside of Fallout is a bit bland.

Far Cry Primal is painfully average. It has you doing similar things over and over. The graphics could be better, and there's no much to interact with in the world. Combat is OK, but stealth is atrocious due to terrible AI. The characters are bland and their motivations make no sense. (paraphrased, points he made in FC4 review)
