Technically I could ban you outright now for these three violations, but show me some good faith and I won't. But remember that you're skating on thin ice one more slip-up and we'll ban your IP. Behave from now on, ok?
 
Question....

How could you prevent someone from posting here by banning his IP ? Unless he's a cable-user, he'll get a different IP every time his logs on at his ISP.
I know, people get banned here for a good reason, but some (I'm not meaning anyone in particular) people just don't know when to stop.

Because

Only the last three digits of most servers IPs are generic.

So if a poster comes from 194.56.781.45 we ban 194.57.781

Btw: Not only cable modems always have the same IP. There are some servers that use that system. Like the Dutch "Demon Internet (demon.nl)"

Kharn, here's a tip for you and others... when you type an IP number to make an example for something, you never use real ip. so this is how it should go:
Listen up you geek, why the hell do you need how the *^&* I ban IP's :) j/k just name IP as 289.1.56 (since it's not a real one). Someone making an example of tel. numbers migh say your's. This is where the crap starts... Anyway, this is a lot of bull, don't pay attention, I'm just boring myself to death :)
