That's just succeeding in speech%-chances, I hope, not any nonsensical mini-game.

The Behemoth that has been shown so far was made up to be a sort of boss monster. It had to be dealt with by using the Fat Man. Just how many of these hulking monstrosities are they planning on putting in the game?

Collected 20 Vault-Tec Bobbleheads

Didn't the bobbleheads increase your SPECIAL stats? With 20 of them and the Intense Training perks, just how easy will it be to max out all your stats? Doesn't this make SPECIAL essentially useless?

Yes, I Play with Dolls

Each Bobblehead updates on of the 7 characteristics or one of the 13 skills.

I don't care much about achievements, but shouldn't they be at least marginally hard to get? Just completing quests or doing actually unavoidable things (like getting your Pip-boy or taking the GOAT) sound really lame to me. Also, it seems like they changed karmic perks into achievements, which would make more sense if it still depended on how much karma you racked up instead of just getting to a certain level; you can apparently be the Last, Best Hope of Humanity with 1 measly karma point.

Achievements are also used to show how far you get in a game (for the rare times someone actually looks at your gamercard) so it makes sense in that respect but does seem a tad lazy when it comes to challenges.

do you recall the garden gnome you had to shoot to outer space in episode 1 (i think it was hl2 ep1)? now THAT was an achievement. those are just mmorpg-achievements imho.

It was Episode 2 actually. That is a frikkin awesome achievement, though I did end up firing it off the edge a cliff by accident.

So ehm, assuming that these are all the quests in the game, there's a whopping 18 quests in this game. That's not much, although I suppose most of these will consist of subquests.

Yet there will be at least 100 different locations (one of the achievements requires that you discover 100 locations).

Which means that probably, the focus of this game is exploration and dungeon crawling, not good old-fashioned roleplaying.

That's not what it says.We don't know how Good Karma is defined, but given that there's also a Neutral Karma zone it seems rather unlikely that any positive Karma score is the same as Good Karma.

I really hope the Behemoth is killable without the fatman, should be the best fight in the game, at least making it a little hard sometimes.

Oblivion's achievements weren't tied to all of the quests, so I don't think that there are only 18 quests.

Now you made me think of the end song in Full Metal Jacket. :D

And Mass Effects have those kind of achievement too, the ones you cannot avoid even if you try.
I guess it adds to the game replayability or something (ego massage?), it doesn't bother me to have them around, i will not miss them if they are gonna also.

About the quests thing, maybe you only get achievements for completing those that are a part of the main storyline? Sure, some of those sound like they have nothing whatsoever to do with finding dad, but who knows just how convoluted Beth's plot is.

True, neutral karma meaning exactly 0 points would be extremely stupid, making it really hard to play the game that way. But this got me thinking, do we have any indication that karma is still measured in points as opposed to being just Bad, Neutral or Good? I don't recall this being mentioned specifically, so maybe they've implemented a morality system more akin to that of Oblivion.

My best guess is that if you do good things you gain Karma and if later you do a Bad thing you lose Karma, making you neutral.

Of course this balance should be hard to achieve if they don't put in some kind of zone of neutrality, like from -10 karma points to +10 karma points, should be less since with +20 points you are the wasteland savior goodie goodie guy.

I really hope you are wrong... perhaps these are the quests directly relating to the main story and the main quest line?
