Zombie Infection

*chills and shivers*

I just love Romero's zombie movies. I heard the rumor, this is great news that it actually is going to be released.

Gah

What the fuck is that? Fast zombies? Outside the mall? The use of cgi and fake looking car isn't very good either, as well as the main cast increasing too about 10 people. Also that dumb baby/alien bit=suk. All the stupid camera effects and stuff were dumb too.

This generally just looks like dawn of the dead RMX. Or mabye just Reign of Fire with zombies. A line in the trailer is a little annoying:
"Why are they coming here?"
"They're coming for us."
No.

Plus the poster looks like someone held a bit of paper over tubgirl.

The Night of the living dead remake was good. The makeup effects were pretty well done. It was still a little 'hmmm..' but otherwise not a bad remake.

Did you see the remake of Night of the Living Dead? I thought it superior than the first.

The makeup effects are far superior - but the rest of the film isn't.

Dawn of the Dead is by far my favorite (remake comes out soon...dunno if it will be as good as the original, though), whereas Day of the Dead is definately the best film of the trilogy, especially makeup-wise.

George Romero is talking with a major studio right now about making the next and final chapter. Fans want it to be called "Twilight of the Dead", but his tentative title is "Dead Reckoning." I think "Twilight..." is much more suitable.

Anchor Bay just released a 2-disc DVD set for "Day of the Dead" and I highly recommend it. It's one of the best DVDs I've ever seen in terms of quality and extras.

What I liked about the Remake was that, if the first move is a metaphor for race relations in the US (black male against white middle class male) the interesting character in the remake was the woman.

She's the one that says, "Hey, we can get out of here, they're really slow. If we stay here we die." Which is what I was thinking as well. ANd in the remake she gets completely ignored. Great stuff. IN the original she just gets eaten as a blithering idiot and is otherwise a waste of a character.

Actually they'd have probably all survived if they stayed in the basement and just kept quiet.

what? The mall sequence...you mean the entire movie :O

Dawn is about commercialism/consumerism, like how all the zombies just remember going to the mall all the time so amass there. Also the shopping sprees and stuff were kind of bling bling.

Each movie is basically just an echo of the current time it was made mebbe? Like day of the dead has radioactive mutant type of zombies and holocaust, night of the living dead has a sort of ethnic/social comment and stuff from outer-space.

le shrugge. Just my garbled opinion, which is probably wrong. The 'message' isn't that hard to see though mebbe.

I'm downloading all of the Evil Dead movies right now... :lalala:
And guess who is gonna have weird nightmares... :help:
