Again, think of this more as an exercise in style and plot.

i think you are running out of participants fast

it's a pity this isn't a normal NMA-rp. i think this could've become very popular indeed. anyhow, good luck with it, i hope it works out for you.

Hey Welsh i got a good idea. Why don't you write 7 or 8 characters each with different traits, physical stature, attributes, blah blah blah. Then have each of us choose which we want. Kinda like when I did the tribal RP and made them choose jobs then write a char except you write the whole thing.

I'm in. My schedule is nerd-like free and I need to start writing again. We're talking normal/Romero zombies, right? The wandering down the street ones, moaning zombies that wants my brains?

I'll start thinking about writing these self-contained "chapters" soon.

Ok, I am hoping to start this in a week or two with the opening chapter.

Chapters should be at least 2-3 pages of regular Microsoft Word/Word Perfect type.

My plans for the story is to open it up to you and the stories you want to write. THink of this as cooperative fan fiction. Our characters need not meet, but this could occur as a group of independent stories about a similiar event- the take over the world by zombies and the lives of humans who try to survive it.

My opening chapter will probably be told in current, emphasizing two main characters, but will also be told with hindsight mentioning events of little over a year prior involving at least 6 other characters who are together when the event begins.

My lose plans are to tell the current story while recollecting past events, but it will be those past events that will be the basis of the my stories.

Loose plot. The current story involves a man, woman and infant trying to get by on their own in a zombie dominated world.

The back plot involves the meeting of the man and woman and a story of how they meet in Yosemite national park, travel to a military base, abandon the base and go independent. The original six characters will be on a hiking trip when the 'event' happens and meet the girl on the way back. More characters can join as old characters die off.

Rules-
(1) this is an exercise in writing- mature, sophisticated, detailed writing is the standard. So none of this, "He said something cool and struck up a cool pose" crap. Tell each chapter as a complete story.

(2) Be consistent with other stories that are told. Again, stories need not involve the same characters.

(3) Be dedicated and committed. If you don't plan on sticking with the story, don't write.

(4) This is not strickly a shoot-em-up. Zombie stories are basically stories of human relationships and the problems of human survival. Those should be the themes. Horror and violence, ok, but none of this "And the hero wiped out 10 zombies with his custom made M-4 carbine with lazer site....."

So yes, think of this more as cooperative fan fiction and challenge writing.

Welsh Ive only role-played a little, but Ive loved it and done a great job.

I have a large vocabulary, vivid imagination, respect limits, and I visit the forums every day so I can be a consistent character.

I'll be ready.

I have a pile of papers to grade and some work to do, but expect the first post this weekend.

My instincts say this thread will die out eventually, but it's worth doing.
