It sold enough. But yea, borderlands, Fallout 4, Mad Max and a few associated games are a 'profitable market'.
Problem: who the fuck is the developer? I don't mind mindlessly shooting post-apoc punks and junkies with a scattergun but I need to know who's making it.

Maybe the people behind it have ambitions for the IP so as to "who asked for this", well, maybe it was the ones who came up with it. But it is clearly looking different than the first one. Cartoonish and bright in a way. So I have no idea what their goal with it is. Then again, the original game isn't always the most successful and they want to redefine the series and find its place. Like Postal. The first game is quite edgy and dark but Postal 2 was whimsical and comedy natured.
I just find the trailer to be absolute trash as it just confuses the hell out of me and I don't get what the selling point of it is.

It definitely tries to be Borderlands with probably a whole bunch of Prey and Dishonored thrown into the mix.
