Huh, so apparently there's been a number of rumors & murmurs of a Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remake/Remaster, including leaks that were recently uncovered. Well, now it seems that its all but confirmed, with an announcement coming up tomorrow.

Holy shit, the game looks absolutely gross. All the color the original Oblivion had just completed sapped out in favor of making it even more generic than it already was.

I wasn't gonna play this because Oblivion is bad and a new coat of paint is not gonna make me want to deal with the garbage combat, shallow rpg elements and horrid level scaling, but good to know Bethesda is still incompetent even when remaking their old games.

They also made the horse armour dlc again…
 
From my research the game has a deluxe edition with the Horse Armor. But to be fair to them, the deluxe edition does have more than just horse armor.

Still ain't buying it.
 
It’s really awful, UE5 removes all colour and paints a greyed out, dull, nightmare. Sure, Oblivion wasn’t a graphically impressive game, but it had its own style, which Bethesda now has removed with surgical precision.
 
I had to take a shower and do some chores so I'm slightly out of the loop, I only watcheda gameplay of the sewer part. Looks like Oblivion though. Except now with extra graphical fidelity that makes it scream Unreal Engine.

Seriously, why does nearly all of these UE games look the same?
 
Cause it is UE, the remaster uses UE5 as a paint job over the Gamebryo engine. UE's raison d'etre is to make game look realistic.

The character designs are BAD. The game looks like a UE5 tech demo instead of Oblivion. It seems like they fixed the character system somewhat and did some other changes, but nothing major. It should also have many of the performance issues that UE5 games have.
