Great post OP. And I agree on tactics and that is exactly what is wrong with FO3. It should be a spin-off and damn, I would have no problem with it, as I am sure that 95% of the Fallout fans would not.

I would say to wait until mods come out. Many things in the game can be overlooked but combat is very unattractive after the first few kills with each weapon type. Perhaps mods will fix it. Also wait for price to go down. Either way, expect a game that is NOT Fallout 3 and can't become that...

Sure it's not going to work. Renaming might have worked long ago before any copy was shipped. It's more of a "let's see how many people agree" and PERHAPS FO4 will be more Fallout.

Yes, I mean the part were you need a similar item to repair the one in question. If it's so realistic how do the merchants do it? Do they have a spare power armor around? Or perhaps a Minigun... It's way too annoying because of how fast equipment wares off.
