    Critters and weapons modding

It's because you haven't changed the ammo type, just modified the ammo prototype. If you'd for example make a mod that changes AK-112 to a Colt Assault Rifle and would have it use .223 ammo instead of 5mm, then you'd have all the unmodified instances of the rifle still loaded with 5mm. IIRC...

Regarding the weapons and ammunition of the wasteland?

It was originally named "colt rifle" when the graphics were being designed, though. Oh and originally it used .223 ammo.

Yes, with exception of ammo. If you'll change the ammo type, the critters will be stuck with the old ammo.

HOW TO: Fully edit Fallout1 maps in mapper2.exe, the BIS official Fallout 2 Mapper.

It's heart-warming to see people building upon my work. Great to see the script list problem solved. Lack of a working list was a major PITA for me. I think there aren't much mods for Fallout 1 mainly because it didn't have a mapper and because the scripting language is a nightmare to learn...

GURPS Fallout video - Colt Rifle?

Yeah, because a half-assed system put together in a few weeks by a group of people with different expectations from games is totally superior to a system that was worked on with a clear vision in mind and tested for years.

GURPS Fallout video - Colt Rifle?

Or it could be a mythological future-past version of .223 that explodes people like blood sausages with the magic of hydrostatic shock. Also, GURPS >>>>>>>> S.P.E.C.I.A.L. R.I.P. Fallout: A GURPS Post-Nuclear Adventure 1994-1997.

25, which is irrelevant as it's 2010, not 2004. I was talking about the buyers of original games. If they don't have high-speed internets, they can't patch their unfiinished games and if they don't have access to the internets, they can't even activate them.

Duck and Cover interviews Tim Cain

It's pretty obvious when one reads what he would change in Fallout 1. Or rather what he didn't wrote he would change there. It's not a surprise to me that he liked FINO3 - after all, he had positive expectations for it when it was being developed and from what I heard from my friends, it's a...

Then they wouldn't be able to download patches for unfinished games and sometimes would be unable to activate them.

OXM responds to the Fallout community

Which is why the game came with a manual with a section that explained what to do in the temple. Unintuitive interface? Are we talking about the same game? IMHO some games need demos to hook up new players (to show off the game's gimmicks). Fallout demo could get player into a serious fight...

Interview with J.E. Sawyer on Xbox Live

Amusingly, the times when Fallout/Fallout2 were made were a golden era of PC shooters. There were literally tons of them: http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/x,7/shooter/1996/ http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/x,7/shooter/1997/ http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/x,7/shooter/1998/...

People pay for pirated games O_o ? The only reason anyone would do it that I can think of is that they can't afford an Internet connection, which kinda eliminates them as game buyers.
