The word "apocalypse" is always used in stupid ways because it's a Greek word meaning "revelation" or "lifting the vale." But final book in the bible so END OF THE WORLD.

People today are more stupid than ever yet think they're smarter than past generations because they know how to use a smart phone.

Too many people think "Apoc=immediate world ending/country ending event". Thus Post-Apoc: the time right after. Post-Post Apoc is the time beyond that, the time of rebuilding. It was sort of seen as early as A Canticle for Leibowitz with the story beginning post-apoc and quickly moving beyond that by Fiat Homo.

I saw an Insta post declaring various games as being impossible to criticise. I immediately criticised one of the games (Bioshock) and got the expected response. Gamers have a weird parasocial relationship with their games after years of never hearing criticisms against them. When a critic gave GTAV a 9/10, petitions came out demanding they be fired.

Not a whole lot to complain about in GTA v outside of how bloated the story is tbh

But there you go right there. A criticism. When I was a theatre reviewer for a magazine, I was told a show couldn't get five stars if I cited any criticisms. You'd now be having petitions calling for your termination.

There's not really much substance to a forum where everybody shitposts and acts the same so apart from people that are like mtfkdggrfll trolling it I don't see the appeal of it.
How come jrpgs are rpgs if they have no roelplaying?

because in the acronym JRPG the RPG doesn't stand for Role Playing Game, it stands for Repetitive, Punishing, Grindy

Lel. I own final fantasy 7, 8, & 9. Everytime I try to play them I run into those problems.
So should I play Skyrim if I'm interested into it? It's a game from 2011 that's still 40 bucks but I enjoyed Elder Scrolls 3 and 2.

I remember I had fun in Skyrim it was my first TES, but not because of roleplaying, but because I would mod a female character to be nude and would run around staring at her ass... what can I say I was a hungry teen back then.

I think the game is good enough but i would probably not touch it again without 10 or so mods.
As mentioned there is n no choices and consequences and it can get repetive fast. Especially if you are sneaking with a bow.

Also it should be far less than 40bucks especially during sale.

Where do you live bud? it's 3$ down at gamestop. Legendary edition is 15$. And yeah I could recommend it at that price. It's a solid 7/10 if all youre looking for is a big open world to kill time and want nothing deeper than that either mechanicly or narratively.
I need to watch that video by Many a True Nerd since Bethesda fans shill it, but the British accent and buzzwords make it challenging.

I watched it completely. It has some fair points but a lot of issues with Fo3 are hand-waved, and he isn't completely informed of the underlying issues with Fo3. It's a cursory glance of the game at best.

Yeah, he handwaves a lot of problems of Fo3 and makes bad arguments for others. Did not changed my mind one bit, still think Fo3 is a disgrace as a Fallout game and just as a regular game.

I'd say still watch it. I'll admit I disagree with a few points of his, granted I also disagree with a few of MisterCaption's points too, everyone's different. But I still found the video more interesting than most which are usually like "F3 is fine the way it is!". It helps that MTN focuses on some of the more smaller details that some may miss, that's why I posted it after all.

I hate how closed off NV is, really. It's too short, the beef barriers fall quickly - and then you just have the physical. The Divide is arguably Pahrump/Charleston View/Sandy Valley, okay, but LV, Henderson, etc, are huge. Maybe Echo Bay could had been another base, or Willow Beach. A 13.5km square game can't be that hard....

The game has the locations too close to each other because Bethesda said that from each landmark in the game, you have to be able to see another three landmarks. So of course the game is "compacted".
