How did you discover Fallout ?

Fallout 2 was one of the first games that I've played on my family Pentium sometime around 2000's. I don't even remember what Pentium was it. Absolutely fallen in love with this game. I was around 12 at the time, and dad brought the disc. And I've played it as extensive as I could on account that it wasn't my computer. And I loved it so much, that, I think, it shaped my interests in further games, leaning towards well written stories, immersive enviromental storytelling and well structured questlines. Damn, I even learned english because of that game! I remember that namely because of that game I was sitting in front of my computer with english dictionary beside my keyboard all the time! Wow, what a timejump..

So, then, for some reason, I didn't played the first game in the franchise. I don't know how that happened. I've played bunch of other games like Unreal and Deus Ex, StarCraft, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and.. so on and so forth, but all this time I remember that I wanted to find some game that may be somewhat similar to my beloved Fallout 2. Isn't that strange? Should I mention that I very much love Arcanum, Planescape and Silent Hill 2?

And then, around 2013 I've got New Vegas on my very own laptop. It was terrible. Because of the laptop, of course. But not that terrible for me to not beat the game along with Dead Monkey and Old World Blues, love them both btw, but Dead Monkey is my favorite. I remember that I could not go into Divide because of my laptop's specs wasn't enough or something. There were some huge lag spikes and overall frames were way too low, something about 10-15. It was awful. I was not interested in Honest Hearts at the time, and I don't remember why.

After some time I've got me a Fallout 3 thinking: "Well, if New Vegas was so good, then it can't be that all that I hear of Bethesda's Fallout reboot is true... There must be something that I would love about this game.."
I've tried it several times throughout the years, and I cannot stand what is going on in the Megaton and shortly after. So every time I start playing Fallout 3, I stop around me getting past Megaton. So I don't even know this game well, because technically I did't played it.

Year back I've tried playing 4 and 76, but shortly after I start I feel like I need to force myself to play it. Typically at that point I just drop the game.

Hey, it's my first post here on NMA. So have a nice day, yall!
