I think you are forgetting how intimidating the Emperor used to be before they ruined him.

I guess, altho they have ruined him so throughly that I can't separate him from the parody of himself that he became.

The other exception to this is Kylo Ren, but in reverse, because there is no way even supporting material can make that dweeb intimidating.

What sucks is that Kylo has an honestly amazing design, but he pulls off the mask and looks like a pissed off teen

@Hoplite Well Disney wanted to make the teenage girls and middle age Karens get their panties wet over something. Who cares about making a good villain? What is most important is making a dreamy bad boy that you can change and have cute babies with. Goddamn do I hate fangirls.

My stepdad calls him "Baby Vader". I think that is too kind.

Doesn't really have anything with his looks, V from DMC 5 looks like a prettier version of Kylo Ren and he manages to be pretty creepy, and DMC5 is more of an action comedy.

You know your villian sucks when even lego star wars makes fun of him.

The Emperor was pretty intimidating in Return of the Jedi, even if a bit hammy in some scenes (Vader was also guilty of this). But yeah, the prequels and Rise of the Skywalker turned him into a joke.

The prequels were worse with Vader than the Emperor.
