No Mutants Allowed

S1-3 I've rewatched a lot, S4 I only watched per episode, and I remember little-to-nothing. I was overall not all that impressed, well - litterally speaking, since it made no impression on me, to or fro.
I haven't had that much of an urge to run and watch S5, more like a curious acknowledgement that it's available.

There was that first episode with toilet and there was also a weak parody of superhero tropes. While 3 was weaker, it had way more memorable episodes.

Wasn't the superhero episode from S3?

It has to be one of the most uneven popular shows in recent memory. Once the normies get hold of shit it goes tits up.

When Season 3 declared all the serialized storytelling and character development as lame and then proceeded to either shit on viewer expectations they themselves created and conntinuosly regressing the characters it just lost all the soul and shine Season 1 and 2 had.

Like season 4 tired to tug at the heart strings but they themselves set the prescedent that we shouldn't care about anytime they would try it so what was the point from then on? Dan Harmon not handling his divorce well really made this series just worse in general.

Basically the divorce comment is some of the issue but it was never meant to be this big a thing either.

TBH I stopped caring about Rick and Morty after season 3. It's humor doesn't appeal to me anymore though it still sometimes makes me laugh. I also just got sick of the edgy nihilism.
