    Your Complaints Are Pointless...

More like fug On a more serious note, however, your trend of not going to movies is not an isolated incident. Hollywood has been trash since forever. Its only now that people have been getting fed up with being given garbage on a platter. Indy isn't much better with their "oh so artsy...

A meta analysis of New Vegas

I would attribute much of their short comings on time constraints, overestimation of the project at hand and their contractors bending them over a railing at every chance. KOTOR II fell into the same trap that New Vegas fell into with Lucas Arts pushing them to a Christmas release thus making...

A meta analysis of New Vegas

I've been thinking about this for a little bit and I'd like to post my thoughts. I feel as though that there is a meta narrative of New Vegas that went over many people's heads. Let me start with the main theme of New Vegas which is letting go and beginning again (one of the main themes at the...

Describe Fallout (series) in one sentence

Please do not insult extraterrestrial intelligent life by comparing it to Bethesda.

Fallout 5 Predictions Thread (with EXPLOSIONS!)

    >The year is 2029 >E3 rolls around with every games "journo" being invited to Todd "Have you bought Fallout 6 yet" Howard's panel >"I am pleased to announce" >Gasps are heard from the crowd with several members passing out from a lack of oxygen and brain cells >"Fallout: New Vegas 2" >The...

Describe Fallout (series) in one sentence

Like "Weekend at Bernies'," but not funny.

The Reintroduction of Television to the Fallout Wasteland

I'd like to think the NCR would constantly be pushing for more patriotism and enlistment like it's some 1984 hellscape. "In other news, water reserves have increased by 10%. That is a 2 point rate increase from 12% earlier this week." "NCR soldiers have taken several territories once held by...

    The Story of Van Buren

It sounds like Dead Money, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road all wrapped up in the middle of moocow flyover country.

How is Caesar's army not a joke?

Especially if the assassin were to pull out a .44 magnum and shout "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS" before shooting him in the face and slaughtering his personal guard. Just saying.

There is something silly in Fallout New Vegas

    1. I thought the vending machines were pretty strange, even for Fallout. (It's basically sci-fi alchemy) 2. Are you talking about the Transportalponder? I thought they explained it well with how the Think Tank are super geniuses.\ 3. I suspect that had to do with time constraints. 4. Well...

Starting a Let's Play of New Vegas, what mods should I go for?

Also, I forgot. If you want more variety in weaponry, get Classic Fallout Weapons. It brings back all of the weapons (and a few armors, I believe) from the Fallout 1/2/Tactics.

Starting a Let's Play of New Vegas, what mods should I go for?

Are you planning on being the Courier? If not, I would get Roleplayer's Alternative Start. Also get YUP for bug fixes.

What Fallout food/drink/chem would you like to try?

Man, I sure could go for a Fancy Lad. Uh, wait a second!

There is something rotten in Fallout New Vegas

Look. My point is that big names are easier to use for jokes.

    The Reversal

Hmm. You make some really good points. I still think it would be a very fun thing to play as I always wanted to see the Mojave in the art style of Fallout 2. I'm just imagining the hell you would have to go through to make the Battle for Hoover Dam not a cluster fuck of melee A.I...

There is something rotten in Fallout New Vegas

Howard "was" the lead designer. Zenimax essentially runs the show now. Hodd Toward doesn't do much besides just working.

    The Reversal

Also noting that New Vegas has no set time frame. You could theoretically not fight for the dam for well over a few hundred years if you waited/slept enough. I don't know if the original engine hinges on that concept of a "time limit" for quests, but that's another thing to consider.

There is something rotten in Fallout New Vegas

Well, to be quite honest, he was the quickest thing to latch onto for my joke. Just as Todd "Tell me Sweet Little Lies" Howard has virtually zero control of Bethesda besides PR.

There is something rotten in Fallout New Vegas

Really? I thought he was one of the writers for Fallout 2. Must have not remembered that right.
