Still Mildly Glowing

Neither did my Ranger, Theif, or Assassin.
all ended up being a Kh-nig-uht.
I kept getting that vibe. It's like Bethesda was subtly telling me that if one is into fantasy settings then you're secretly longing to be a knight. I felt like they were projecting their own psychological disfunction on me at every turn.
I persevered though. I actually never have played Oblivion with anything but that gimpy character, though - by now - she's a thundering Jack of Many Trades, Master of Most (which is relatively unfulfilling). Ironically, tonight is the first night I picked it back up in months (Shivering Isles is where I put it down). It's fun to get immersed in the world, but after hour 40~ you begin to see how paper thin and hollow it all is.
Anyhow, I could segue into a rant on the "must allow the player to do everything possible in their initial play through" issue which I also fear will taint Fallout (in spite of early claims they were moving away from that), but I'll just finish by musing whether or not anybody at Bethesda plays outside of the box or is there a massive degree of group think plaguing that studio?
