608th's crew OOC

I'm thinking retreat might be our best option at this point, since we just lost a man, and we can't figure out what the hell is going on. What say you, troops? We need a location to head I suppose.

In the road we are on right now the tank aims east toward the 85th and away from the graveyard, if you remember we drove past it. We can take the 85th and head north towards Phoenix, our original destination after Ajo.

Heading towards Phoenix sounds like a good idea. I'm down for it.

I vote for Phoenix too

Edit: It will be pretty ironic if BigBoss starts to post again after the event, well, he can always start a new character.

He can, but inactive characters have a tendency to die, it's just how it works, happened to me before and seen it happen as well, and it's not like I didn't metion it could happen earlier. If someone stops posting the others have to keep going without him, it's the only way to keep things going, if not the game dies and I've seen it happen way too often.

Had some medical issues, between that and work haven't had time to post. I'll make a post in the morning.

Guys, you're still alive? Anyone out there? What should we do about the checkpoint?

I would like to continue but if it is going to just be you and me it might be a bit boring.

Well, if Emperor doesn't respond I'll wrap it up and give this episode a good ending rather than let it die.

I'M ALIVE! DON'T BURY MEEE!! I JUST HAVE BENN SHIPWRECK AND I CAN'T FIND WILSON!!!

Ok, joking aparts. The main reason that I'm not posting frequently anymore is because of school, is my last year in it, I need to study for the university/college tests and ENEM and that shit is hard, also my number of classes have increase so I have little time at home to use the computer and most of that time I need to study. So I guess I will be only posting in the weekends or if I get lucky with time. I will still post today so don't worry.

Also I need to give another warning, is that time of year again here in Brazil. Is that time where when join together to contemplate the essence of HUE, to grasp it's magic, to give form to things which have none, to feel the energy emanating from it and to be fully possessed by it and dodge the many STDs and many uncomfortable things that comes with them. It's time where we want to spread it's magnificent to the whole world so they can be heated with it's glory and maybe the zueira may even reache the gringos, because the zueira never ends. My fellow comrades, is with the holy spirit of the HUE and the clairvoyance of the zueira that I announce that Carnival has come, even in places where it never finished. May the holy art of zueira and it's holy consequence, HU3 be with you.

We have basically a whole week off to enjoy it, so that means free time! And what comes with free time? Sleep, eating, computer, parties, friends, time to study and travels. I don't know if I will be travelling this ''HUEday'', we still need to decide here, so I may not post for some days or maybe I will, it's Carnival, everything will happen in this country.

After having been pointed in this RP's direction, I've contemplated participation. Unlike previous involvements, I wanted to my next endeavor to be less "fantasy" and play more close to home, so my initial thoughts were roleplaying a caravaneer. But I realized that, this RP not taking place in the Fallout universe, caravans of the same sort don't exist. Reading on, since it's still really new after the apocalypse, are there even caravans or thriving businesses? Then seeing you'd rather the characters be soldiers, is there even any room for a resourceful civilian who can take care of himself at all?

Still not decided, but of course how things turn out and what answers I may receive would naturally impact the direction I would go with making a decision on participation...

This is more of "survival after disaster" thing. Eventually over the years this will be more similar to the Fallout universe, but right now there any no thriving economies, perhaps "trhiving" as in "we are not dead and we might make it" group of survivors.

Civilians can join, we are now approaching what seems to be a civilian settlement.

I want to continue as well, but it would be nice to have more players. If I feel like it's just me and Gonzalez going back and forth I get discouraged.

Hmm... Well like I said, I was kinda looking forward to the opportunity to roleplay something besides a badass which I'm clearly not. For a change, opting to be a businessman in a post apocalyptic setting would simply have suited me better, but if the setting is not conducive to someone like that existing (yet), then that means I can't do that. =/

Well, Ralph is just a cook basically. Anyone can pick up a gun and shoot at things. It isn't hard to pick people up on the road. It might be interesting to get a perspective of someone not in the military in the group. At any rate I will be posting shortly over in the other thread. Probably tomorrow...or rather today I guess. I need sleep...

It is much easier to shit post rather than actually come up with something worth reading, so sorry for the delay, with me being sick and all, one of our guys dying from ditching the game, and whatnot, this RP has suffered due to inactivity. I hope to remedy that.

Yes, you mentioned that. Also I understand it's "easy to pick up a gun". But when I said I had the thought to roleplay a non-combatant, and I meant roleplaying a NON-COMBATANT. Not somebody who found himself in the situation and had to do what was necessary. Somebody who found his niche in a changed world, and that niche wasn't scrounging and such. I've contemplated the thought of challenging myself by having this character be equally challenged by having to change his lifestyle in order to survive, and adjust his skillsets accordingly. But thus far it's just been a contemplation. I really wanted my next character to be a full-blown trader. If the setting weren't so close to the end of the world, I could envisage the character having guards, but this being so near to the catastrophic changing of the world makes me feel like a nomadic trade route wouldn't be a thing yet.

New post coming tomorrow, based on your decisions thus far. It's going to be a rather long one, that's why it's taking time.
