Like it or not, America is once again an "Imperial" power,

Has more to do with the elections two steps back then 9/11 really.

Islamofascism has become stronger in most areas

Inevitable, though the US, as usual, helped further Islamist goals.

And stop saying Islamofascism, that term is almost as goddamn retarded as "Fundamentalist Islam". When you refer to something by a word, it'd be useful if the word actually described what it is rather than having nothing to do with it.

and thanks to GWB the United States 'looks' like it has used up almost all of it's good will and is spending too much to defend an overstretched military.

George Bush had already thrown away a lot of good will before 9/11. Hell, 9/11 was the only thing that gave the US goodwill. As for Bush's retarded budget, that'd be slightly better but not by much.

And the longterm effects of losing some goodwill are practically nihil.

China has gained, Europe is (predictably) impotent, and Russia's backtracked to the good old NEP days.

All have nothing to do with 9/11.

I'm not arguing either way. It could go down as a terrible day in American history and a catalyst for the poping of the first tech bobble. Or it could be the most important event in history since the fall of the Berlin wall. I have no idea. Neither do you.
