Tom was sitting there smiling to himself, he slowly slouched back in his chair and stared back at David after raising his head.

"Don't worry he's not my bitch, next time he asks me for something, he's gonna' see who's his bitch" Tom stared at another one of the Tenpenny guards, and realised David won't know what he was talking about, Tom lifted his finger and pointed at the guard.

"See that guard, he's a Talon operative, he infiltrated hear 3 years ago, just before the Bannistor incident, he'll know what to do if the gate guard tries anything funny".

Tom thought to himself for a bit, 'I wonder if Tenpenny's is going to make us do anything, if he does, I think he's going to have to meet the concrete floor 5 floors below him', Tom thought to himself.

It had become morning and Mark smelled his mother's cooking. He slowly got out of his bed and went downstairs. Alright, after I eat I'll leave and ask Harith if I can be his full time guard. Once he had gotten downstairs his parents looked at him and then went back to what they were originally doing. He sat down at the table and ate.

Once he had finished he cleaned his plate and went upstairs. He locked his door so his parents couldn't get into his room. He put on his leather armor, wrapped his belt around his waist and threw on his backpack. He made sure his gun didn't have anything wrong with it and snuck out the window.

He ran towards Lucky Harith and saw him preparing for departure. "Hey kid, it's almost time to go." He looked at his belt and pack. "You plan on going somewhere?"

"Well actually, I was wondering if I could be your permanent guard. So, can I?" Mark did look like he could handle himself, but Harith didn't think he could handle himself up to Old Olney, he usually dropped him off at Rivet City and picked him back up when he was heading back for Springvale.

"I don't know..." He examined Mark for a few more seconds before finally saying, "How about this, I'll keep you with me and pick up my guard from Rivet City and if you don't die from Old Olney, I'll make you my official body guard, and if you're going to take on a Deathclaw, you're going to need this." Lucky Harith takes out an Assault Rifle and hands it over to Mark. "You have a better chance of living with that, then with that puny pistol...now, lets go." Harith walks off his Brahmin right behind him, Mark straps the Assault Rifle over his shoulder and follows Lucky Harith.

Tom walked over to the bar in the tower, not even checking if David was following him.

"I'll have some whiskey, best you got, oh yeah, and the best info you got" Tom said quietly to the bartender while slapping 50 caps onto the bench.

The bartender put the bottle of whiskey on the bench and slide the caps into his hand, not even putting them into the cash register.

"What d'you wanna' know?" the bartender whispered across the freshly polished bench.

Tom pulled out the picture of his platoon's murderer and showed it to the sly bartender.
"I want to know where this guy went after arriving here" Tom said this while twisting of the cap of his whiskey bottle.

"Oh, when he arrived here he acted normal, occasionally bought a drink, nothing to fancy though. Anyway, he said something about heading really far north, and I thought I heard him saying something about getting supplies from a community not far north of here called Old Olney, apparently the settlers there are having trouble with deathclaws there, maybe you could go there if you need more help, that's all for now." the Bartender stopped then looked around, "If anyone asks you who told yer', don't tell em', but I heard Tenpenny be keeping an eye on the guy you showed".

Tom knew he had to get through Tenpenny to get more info, and he thought he knew how to get it.

^Tenpenny towers bartender is a protectron that dosen't even realise the great war happened
I'm assuming the robot bartender was replaced by now, because I thought a protectron bartender would've been inefficient.

Back onto the story.

Mark made sure to walk three feet in front of Harith, because if something was wrong the Brahmin would alert us and as I shot at it Harith would run away. He had prepared the Assault Rifle and held it steady so he could raise it and quickly shoot. They had to go through the Super Duper Mart as usual, but this time Mark would feel kind of weird if he saw the Brotherhood of Steel members.

He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard an angry snarling coming towards them. He spotted three dogs running towards them, quickly Mark held up the Assault Rifle and shot one down, he aimed for the second one and shot at it until a bullet finally flew through it's head, he had to reload but had no time, so he pulled out his pistol and used an entire slip on the dog. He reloaded the guns and refilled the clips and they continued towards Rivet City.

Tom realised it was getting late, and realised David had still not said anything back to him, but he knew he was still there, he must of been thinking of something.

He quickly suggested that the bartender give him a room, so the bartender threw over some rusty keys.

Tom walked up the stairs and arrived at his room, he fumbled around with the lock a bit, until he finally managed to burst through the door, and pointed at one of the beds and grunted, hoping David wouldn't bother to talk, Tom was too tired to talk, if he was back in Britain, he would probably say he was knackered, but no one here in America would understand him.

Tom hoped that one day he could go home, see his friends back in the English Wastes. But he knew, what he was thinking was going to be hard, as he thought of his friends, and the storms and the North Sea, he slowly fell asleep, in the dark room, far from home.

Mark and Harith got over to the Super Duper Mart and met up with some Brotherhood of Steel guys. They let them stay at the Super Duper Mart for shelter, they also did some trading with the Brotherhood of Steel members.

Mark still didn't feel comfortable around the Brotherhood. He thought there methods for dealing with ghouls and raiders were abit, unneeded.

Tom woke up during the night and looked to David who was sleeping soundly in the bed parallel to him, or at least he looked like he was sleeping.

Tom had another nightmare about his parents, in his dream he remembered going down stairs and seeing three raider surrounding his parents and hacking at them with axes and knives. One of them turned around at Tom and shouted at him saying something about a recruit, Tom sprinted out of the ramshackle house, hoping that someone else in the community would help him, but the community was ravaged, he saw his friends running away and decided to join them, they ran for a nearby ridge as two of his friends were cut down by gunfire. As he reached a ridge he looked down on the ravaged and burning town, and a small tear trickled down his cheek.

Tom learned to sleep through these nightmares, but for some reason this one felt more real than the other dreams. But Tom could never escape these dreams, because these were the moments that made him who he was. He didn't care if people called him psychologically damaged or if they thought he was a crazy person, he just wanted to achieve his vengeance, any means possible. Even if that meant travelling the breadth and width of the Americas so be it, he just needed to do this one thing.

Mark saw that Harith had brought the Brahmin inside, since he was carrying all of Harith's stuff he didn't want him to be left alone outside. He had searched around and saw that even the Super Duper Mart was almost ready to be reopened. He thought that it was in good enough condition to open already, but apparently no one would help and manage it or help restock.

Mark was in the pharmacy since it was the most hidden place in the whole building. He lied in a sleeping bag and nervously fell asleep.

Tom looked across the room and stared at David, who was sleeping at the time. Tom ripped a map of pre-war District of Columbia off of the war and began to scrawl across it with a snapped pencil he had foraged on the floor earlier.

He slowly marked a path from Tenpenny Tower to Springvale, where he would resupply for his long journey north, then he would head to Old Olney where he would get more supplies from the settlers there who were trying to clear out the deathclaws, and if this guy he wanted headed further north, Tom would hop on one of the old train lines and hitch a ride at a train station to the commonwealth, but god no let it be the pitt. But first he had to see Tenpenny.

Tom swiftly tip-toed past all of the guards over to Tenpenny's room and slowly creaked the door open. He searched through all of Tenpenny's documents and desks occasionaly looking over to the deep sleep old man. But he wasn't going to be awake for a couple of hours now.

He found a file exclaiming that the man he had been hunting had headed really far north to the Pitt, "Oh no, not that shithole" thought Tom as he crumbled the paper in his hand. He slide all of the remaining related documents into his pockets and walked down the stairs and out of the tower.

He didn't care that he was leaving David behind, he had a bigger agenda than David had. He set quickly out for Springvale, hoping that the end was soon in sight.

It had quickly become morning, Mark woke up and looked around, nothing had changed. He stood up and checked up on his guns before leaving what was known as the pharmacy. He walked outside and saw Harith doing some last minute trading with the Brotherhood of Steel members before getting ready to leave. The Brotherhood of Steel guys walked back into the Super Duper Mart. Mark watched them and made sure they didn't just turn around and shoot at them. Once they were inside, Mark turned back around and walked over to Harith. "We ready to go?"

Harith turned his head over to Mark and smiled. "Yep. We're about a days trip from Rivet City, so I think we should get going quickly before it hits nightfall, because that's when all of the Super Mutants come out. I mean, we will still come across some, but atleast we'll have a chance to make it there without dying." Harith made one last check on the supplies and looked back at Mark. "Now, let's go." He walked off towards Rivet City, Mark right in front of him, his Assault Rifle out and the 10mm pistol in quick reach.

Jake sat bolt upright, he was in a cold swet. For the past month jake had strange dreams, dreams of a man in a tatterd vault suit, standing on a pile of the dead, in one hand he held a prewar solar device, in the other the figure held dogtags. Everynight the location changed last night the figure was in girdershade, BoS members replaceing the normal corpses. Jake didn't know who the man was, but he knew the man had evil in his heart.

Tom had been travelling all night in the hope of finding a caravan to trade supplies for, but he no luck in Megaton and Springvale. He thought he could scavenge in the super duper mart, see if he would have any luck there, but it was highly unlikely that there would be, place was cleaned out months ago.

From a ridge Tom was standing on, he could just barely see the parking lot for the super duper mart. He squinted as to hope if he could see some live, and finally some luck. He saw what appeared to a caravan in the dusk of the morning.

Tom sprinted down the ridge occasionally tripping or stumbling, as he reached the bottom, he fell over and scarred his shoulder, but that couldn't hold back Tom, he could finally get on his way.

Shuddered to a halt in front of the caravan, any further, and he would have knocked over the caravaneer, who appeared to Lucky Harith. Tom liked Lucky, because a while back when Tom wandered the wastes Lucky offered him shelter in his room in Canterbury Commons, that was several years ago now, Lucky didn't even recognise him.

David awoke to find Tom had gone on without him. He sighed and lef the suite. He walked down the stairs and out of Tenpenny Tower. Unhappy at being left behind, David set off, in hopes of on the way he could find Tom and remind him he still had to pay David. He walked into the wasteland, heading north towards the ruins of grayditch.

"Listen man I.. I uh-" pauses and says "I can't afford to pay ya." The scrawny man quietly finishes, as he unconsciously takes a step back.
Jonathan glares at the scrawny man, his smell of recently taken jet rivals his smell of chemical fluids "Are you KIDDING ME! I didn't fix your water purification system out of the goodness of my heart you know! Hell I even gave you HALF OFF, and you blew the money you were going to give me ON JET!" Jonathan yelled and stopped waiting for a response. "Look man I-I'm s-s-sorry, I had to get my fix! But don't hurt me I can make this worth your while!" The man reasoned and took another small step back and tensing up. "What is it?" Jonathan replied, "I uh. I can get you some free chems, to you know, make you lighten up a bit?" The man shrugged and saw Jonathan take a step towards him then took off. Jonathan eyed a security guard who looked like the mans brother, sighed, and walked away, he was in a 6 story apartment building made into a small town off of Rivet City. The town was known as "LittleDrive" established by Rivet City soldiers to serve as an early warning system for mutant attacks. It was a popular place filled with hardworking soldiers who where there to protect other, but after the Brotherhood managed to drive back the Super Mutants it took a turn for the worse. Declaring independence
and becoming populated with addicts, liars, and crooks who either couldn't get into Rivet City or were exiled.

Jonathan walked down the steps as he checked his pipboy and make a note to himself "don't go to LittleDrive anymore." He then opened the heavy iron bolted front doors and walked into the capital wasteland as he found Albert walking towards him escorting a man in combat armor, "Albert who's this?" Jonathan asked "this man calls himself Dimitri, and he has a job for you." Jonathan was about to say "no" to another job but stopped when he heard the jingle of LOTS of caps in the mans backpack. "Hello there my name is Dimitri, last names are not important, and I heard you are very good with a machine, no?" The spoke with a heavy french accent catching Jonathan slightly off guard "yes I can fix pretty much anything I can get my hands on... Not something as complicated as a ZAX or a Robobrain! But most things " Jonathan said with an air of pride. "Then I have a proposal for you, I have a small business using Protectron's to scavenge highly radioactive areas. However a encounter with an EMP device shut the group down, and I can't reprogram them" Demitri said.

"Reprogramming is a tricky task, how much are you offering?" Jonathan asked "500 caps half up front, half when we get there" Demitri replied "deal" jonathan said and shook Demitri's hand.

Tom recognised one of the men guarding the caravan, he thought he was from Springvale, but that wasn't what he was here for.

"Lucky, have you got any .308 rounds, maybe some light snacks, i'm going up north for a while, might not even be comin' back" Tom remarked to Lucky, hoping he had something for him.

"I've got 20 .308 rounds, and several weeks worth of iguana-on-a-stick, it'll cost yer' about 57 caps" Lucky replied back.

"I only have 20 caps, so could I possibly work with you to pay off the debt, maybe as a pathfinder or a guard, i'll also be able to stick with you 'till old olney, cos' that's where i'm heading" Tom really wanted this, because not only would he be able to pay off his debt, but he will get all his money after the debt is paid, leaving him money for when he gets to old olney and goes further north to the pitt.

"Yeah I have a position for you, i'll pay you when we get to Rivet City, again at the Commons, then your third time at Olney, your debt'll be gone by rivet city at that rate" Lucky was happy to have extra re-assurance with a third guard/pathfinder, this one looked like he could handle himself thought Lucky as they finally made their way out of the super duper car lot.

Tom looked at the person he recognised, and thought it was time to say something.

"Hey you, didn't I see you back at Springvale, that guy was going to rob some shit from your house wasn't he? Anyway, how long you staying with this caravan?"
