Alternate Fallout Discussion Thread

Rich Dickardson

First time out of the vault
With how big Alternate Fallout is gonna be and with what little work I've done on it lately, I only see fit that I create a discussion thread on it. I know I'm probably taking a risk posting this here, but I really want to get my brain going for Alternate Fallout before the end of my Christmas break.

So anyways, for those of you unfamiliar with it, Alternate Fallout is much like canon Fallout, borrowing over things such as the retro-futuristic post-nuclear setting, the Great War occurring on October 23rd, 2077, and the Vaults, but overall, it's pretty different from the published Fallout universe. For one, instead of the point of divergence in history being after WWII, it happens before WWII, with the United States staying out of the war, and Nazi Germany and the Axis powers winning against the Soviet Union and Western Allies in 1951, resulting in a Cold War-like scenario between the United States, Nazi Germany and their respective allies that goes on until the Great War.

I've already started a story set in Washington D.C., and I'm in the process of creating a bunch of placemarks in Google Earth for what the world of Alternate Fallout would have been like in 2077, but progress has gone to a near-complete halt. I really want to get some discussion going here, and I would greatly appreciate it if anyone asked me questions about the universe of Alternate Fallout.

So, let's get some discussion going.

Needs more India.

Then again, all things in life do :P

Considering that the invasion of India was a major factor in the nuclear holocaust of 2077 in Alternate Fallout, we can talk about how India would have been like before an after the Great War. After all, I'm going to write a story set during the Battle of Mumbai.

In fan art where all FAN MADE things go?

Alright...

However, I will say that you could have been more polite.
Well I am just finding it kind of funny that you seem so convinced that your fanfic is so aweosme and popular that a discussion thread for it should be created on the Official Games section. Don't feel attacked.

Well, I do kinda feel attacked. I don't think that at all, so don't put things in my head. I just wanted to get some discussion going so that I would feel motivated to work on Alternate Fallout.

I thought that Fan Art/Fan Fiction was for works, not discussion threads. Now that I know that subforum is for discussion on works as well, I'll request an administrator to move this thread.

But man, you only have one page in your fan fiction thread, not many peopel comment on it, there is no reason right now to have a discussion thread, and a discussion thread about a fan work I think shouldn't be here.

You do the work, THEN we comment on it. It doesn't work the other way around.

I was actually looking for some discussion about my forthcoming ideas and plans for Alternate Fallout, so that I don't forget anything. It's hard when you've got so much in your head that you want to include in your works, and my ideas for Alternate Fallout aren't the only things flowing through, trust me.

You should make sure that enough people are interested in your project before opening a discussion thread about it, specially if as you say you haven't done much work on it...
