Anandtech forum user purportedly has Fallout 3, answers Qs

Would be interesting to see what BS would do if FO3 actually was leaked right before release.
 
I think that if he's legit, he's probably someone who got the disk through a contact in Bethesda, or MS. I have several friends who work for Ubisoft and other gaming firms in Montreal, and they usually have a few "employee copies" that a Betas and the like. Sometimes I get to play a game a few weeks to a month before release, but I'm sworn to secrecy and they NEVER let those games out of office that far ahead of schedule. I think what we're seeing is someone having copied one of these disks and slipping it to someone else (again, if legit) or maybe even an independant Beta tester.

The fact is, that if this guy is anywhere near legit, he and whoever got him that copy can get in huge trouble for releasing plot information or unauthorised screenshots.

But judging from what I've read from this guy, I'd say its one of those too close to call type of situations.

But how would you then verify that he isn't just talking crap. If it were me I would've trolled better, make up fake plots, armour stats etc. etc.

They accused him of illegally disclosing information, even though he said nothing that couldn't be found in some Beth PR release?
 
Yeah, an interesting story might be, "I finally found the PC's dad in the game. He'd been dipped and turned into a mutant. I felt bad, because if I had made better decisions earlier in the game then this might not have happened."

yeah thats the one I made in under 15 minutes. Just to show how easy a fake menu is to make.

That made me laugh. Actually the thread on BGSF was pretty funny, people were looking up his personal information and such which is why Summer claims to have shut it down.

I do have a buddy that worked for intel that would get some pre-release stuff. The dudes room Looks Like my buddies room too. All the game systems. PCs hooked up to big screen. Alot was written off on his taxes too.

To verify validity of his claims I'd like to see a 5 second video showing him playing the game. Nothing that has been on the net before either. Still could be a plant however.

I do have a question to any who have been to pax. Did that start menu ever make an appearance during the demos?

(note to those who did not read my previous posts. the following pic is FAKE. I made the pic itself in under 10 minutes just to say hey. I'm playing it to. Only I got the PC Version. If you look on the left I even have the Disk Case and the manual that came with it.

Except for the fact that HIS version of the menu has the exact same lighting than the pictures and videos we've seen of the menus so far. Yours does not. Yours looks just like a wallpaper to which you've added a few icons...
