Who are we talking about again? OBL? Can you please provide the exact time, location, fingerprints and dental records? This is me talking as a guy who think's he's probably been toast for a long time. I'm also speaking as a guy who knows that the internet likes nothing more than a conspiracy theorist. Lemme guess, you're a troofer?

Hence the words WHO ARE WE TALKING ABOUT in my post. I thought you were talking about Osama Bin Laden. Geez.

War is peace? Peace here maybe. I'd rather have peace there.

Maybe I'm a selfish asshole American - but all I really care about is peace here. All I want to do is work hard on the weekdays and drink beers with my friends on the weekends. If 'war' in Iraq/Afganistan/Iran keeps nukes from falling in my backyard - then IMO its comletely justified.

No one wants to nuke your backyard. Or can.
The Iraq war didn't, uh, make America peaceful, or whatever. And the Iran war won't.
You should really put 'Fuck you, I got mine' in your signature

Thanks to our Armed Services.

It's pretty close now isn't it?

Well, you sound like one.
meh.

It's a really naive idea and it's usually your children who pay the price for your selfishness.
Whats a naive idea? That our government has to go above and beyond to provide our citizens with peace? On the contrary, my children will benefit from living the U.S.

Thanks to our Armed Services.

No, diplomacy stopped North Korean nuclear development and hopefully Obama will peacefully stop Iran from developing nukes.

The only thing you should thank your Armed Forces is for killing evil freedom hatin' terrists.
Like them!

(Because Iraq didn't have WMDs!)

Do you think we could have pulled off 'diplomacy' without a superior military in our back pocket? If you do, then your delusional.

hehe, good luck with that.

I don't thank the armed forces for killing. I thank them for doing their job well and allowing the US to live in freedom.

My delusional?

Yes, actually, I think that, because North Korea has no actual use for those nukes, and traded its nuclear program for other kind of fuel and and no, those evil gooks don't want to nuke or invade your back yard, or California. And it's not your Armed Forces stopping them, it's understanding that wars don't lead to anything good. Well, then there's the starving population thing, but that's another story.

hehe, good luck with that.

I bet Kennedy had very good luck, when he stopped the Cuban crisis. You know, with diplomacy, not bombing the USSR, like McCain probably would.

What threat did Iraq have to your freedom? I don't deny that invading Afghanistan was a good thing and probably threatened your peace, fyi.

Edit: tunning down on the doucheness

Wars don't lead to anything good? I bet the Jews who had been liberated from concentration camps by Allied/Russian forces said the same thing. Its hard to tell whether you're serious, or just craving attention.

Yeah, I bet those evil terrist freedim hatin' children are a huge threat to your freedom.
Edit: waitamin, what threat did Iraq have to your freedom?
So a random picture of a bloody brown kid off of imageshack (Who was probably injured in a suicide bombing) means that the army targets children? Okay, I'm positive you aren't serious now.

You're like some kind of über-dick, do you by chance drive a SUV? Are you against UHC?

Always good to top off a bullshit sandwich with some good ol' ad hominem.

Is that a Godwin? Are you fucking comparing North Korea to Nazi Germany? Are you saying in wars one side is clearly evil?

Hyperbole? No, they (probably) don't, but the innocents are the ones suffering the most, and the US is to blame. [No, I don't know why the suicide bombers blow up innocent people.]

How's this for a strawman?
All he's saying is that wars can lead to something good. This doesn't mean that one side is clearly evil.

And shouting 'Godwin' doesn't make him any less correct (or wrong, for that matter).

Eh?

Kennedy was a batshit insane warmongerer who started American involvement in the Vietnam war. He's also responsible for the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

Khrushchev was the one who took initiative to end the Cuban Missile Crisis. Kennedy did no such thing, he just went along once the USSR initiated movement towards peace.

Please keep your history straight.

Carry on.

Okay, right. It's still a bad analogy, because the Iraq war didn't lead to anything considerably good, nor will the Iran war.North Korea, well I dunno.

Good call. Still, diplomacy over wasteful and pointless war.

I don't think he said wars never lead to good.

But justifying the War on "terror" because we were morally right for becoming involved in WWII is way off base.

Cheney, the former CEO of Haliburton said, “I can’t think of a time when we’ve had a region emerge as suddenly to become as strategically significant as the Caspian. It’s almost as if the opportunities have arisen overnight.” This was in '98. 3-5 years later, he's in office and we're at war with 2 countries that are "strategically" close to the Caspian Sea.

He sure was good at spotting those WMDs, wasn't he? What business did he even have analyzing any military map?

Fuck Neo-conservatives. And fuck Reagan for taking the "Republican" name. What happened to limited government and peaceful relations with other countries?

The War on Terror (War for Oil) and the War on Drugs (War on Marijuana) and the two dumbest things our country has ever done. They both leech billions upon billions of dollars a year, and don't have shit to show for it.
