Anyone else tired of the old factions?

Yeah, it would work better as a reputation penalty, people wanting to do less with you because you eat people than because some force that observes good and evil judges you and somehow makes other people aware of it.

Seeing the Brotherhood of Steel ONLY being mentioned in the next Fallout game would be disappointing. Most of the factions i've read just now from looking at the fellow member's posts sound like Wasteland factions. I'm sure you realize that there is a cyborg thing going on in the Commonwealth or "Up north" in the east coast. I'm sure the next installment will be pretty epic, here's hoping everyone can see what made the modern generation of Fallout lovers, the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3,the NCR in New Vegas, the way they introduce those two factions in the up-to date version of Fallout series is pretty amazing. Then again it pretty much scratched off the isolationism from the original Fallout games, the ideas you guys make are cool though. How do i conclude? I'm not tired of these "old" factions, and this is my opinion.

As long as they don't shoehorn in the BoS in and if they give them an actual purpose in the plot. Heck, maybe they could expand on the CW BoS's history and give more insight to them. Not the Enclave though, their send-off in New Vegas should be the perfect end to the organisation.

Yup, with the last group of remnants, the Enclave has been crushed.

Regarding the cyborg faction, the idea of them was already conceived before Wasteland 2 came around.
Same goes for the Angels, basically a coincidence that they look like Wasteland 2 factions and the Angels a little like the Legion.

The idea behind both is that they would provide an alternative philosophy/ideology on how to rebuild civilization.
The Followers of the ATLANTIS believe that if humanity is to recover and rebuild civilization without destroying it again is to discard human limitations and embrace the machine, one day perhaps transcending into a race or self optimizing machine intelligences.

The Angels believe that humanity to discard its material obsessions as much as possible such as advanced technology and instead turn a life of spirituality and self reflection in order to get closer to the divine.

I admit I want to see a completely different faction and their way of rebuilding the world. Not much more to say.

I'm conflicted about cutting Karma entirely (for admittedly stodgy reasons-- it's been more or less broken from the start, but it's also been there from the start), but I think you're spot-on about religious/ideological donations not effecting it. Rather than a temporary skill/stat bump to your character, though, I think the benefits should be more realistic and concrete-- a Reputation boost from the faction you're donating to, as well as perhaps benefits from or within that faction. Ideally, it'd be nice to see the accumulated total of your donations actually helping the church or organization spread within the game world and/or advance its aims, but even New Vegas didn't put in that much elbow grease, so I'm not holding my breath as far as seeing it in the franchise proper anytime soon.

I'd like to see karma stick around as a measure of how much the wasteland likes you overall, but not necessarily as a thing that opens up or closes off connections with factions or potential companions or anything.
What I'd really like to see is a screen that gives you a break down of how much you've stolen, how much you've donated, how much you've gambled, how much you've spent in towns, the total monetary worth of everything you're equipped with, the total monetary worth of everything you're carrying, and the total monetary worth of everything you own including stuff worn by your companions and everything you have stored back at your home.
Then I'd like to see that stuff affect NPC dialogues.
