Anything you liked that Bethesda added to the franchise?

Very few things, but there were some:

-Bloatflies
-Mirelurks
-T-45 to an extent
-Med-x
-Mr.handy looks okay I guess

I think that about does. They fucked up a lot, but those few things were all right, I guess?

I mean it kinda hard to say because maybe stuff would of got added anyway because I guess that would be thecoretical anyway. I mean stuff like weapon mods and settlement building i guess are good. But I mean FNV developed weapons mods and the ideas to it anyway. I mean Beth defintly didn't put anything slight orginal in Fallout 4 I mean mostly they just at other games and what was popular e.g settlement that was just from minecraft etc. I mean the the idea with rad taking maxuim helath was okay too. But I probably prefered the old stuff tbh. The PA mechanics where good but probably the best thing they have added. I mean FNV defo added more to fallout 3 in term of mechincis than Fallout 4 added to FNV

I like how there are more computers around to hack. It's a good way to add lore from either post-war groups/people who write their own logs or by reading something pre-war. There wasn't a whole lot of that in Fallout 1/2. Problem with that is that there are too many computers. I'd just decrease the amount of computers but still keep around enough of them to make it viable for a Hacking skill and for the text on said computers to 'always' be useful in some way. None of it would be fluff. So less computers but each computer would give you something you can use. Like, it could be a log by a dead faction that you can use to expose another faction's leader of that details how (s)he murdered a whole group of people and lied about the reasoning why.

However, the hacking minigame needs to go. It fucking sucks.

I like how they turned power armor into a powerful suit that you enter and exit. It'd be better if it stuck to canon by using microfusion cells, as well as being powered as long as the lore states, and just compensating by making the suits rarer, and you know, not give you one instantly.

The feel of Power Armour in Fallout 4, that's really the only addition to F4 that I enjoy tbh.
I guess the exploration is nice, mostly in F3 through, Fallout 4 really doesn't have that.
I know I'm gonna sound like a big of twat here, but I guess the stories told through images rather than words was a nice touch, an example I always give is in Fallout 3, there was a radio broadcast which leads to a family of skeletons all cuddling each other. Say what you want about the overuse of skeletons in the Bethesda Fallouts, but at least F3 had its gems in that regard. I wished Bethesda did more with the subtle and smaller stories. They could have some very falloutish side missions but instead they stick to the rule of cool.

I guess another touch I liked was the settlement building, but I would have preferred it if you acted more as town sheriff, writing your own laws and making money by either creating trade deals or building your own New Reno like area.
I guess I prefer the idea of being your own "Leader in the Wasteland" rather than what we got in F4.
I liked the idea, but feel it could have gone in a more political direction, which would have been more interesting than just "Generic side quest #420"

Mister Gutsys, Sentry Bots, Protectrons. I quite like the Pipboy 3000 (not so much Fallout 4's Pipboy though) but I didn't like the biometric seal part.

Power armour does feel more powerful but also flimsy at the same time, given how enemies can shoot pieces of it off.

Fallout 4's Vault aesthetics...and that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure when more people post I'll agree with some of the things said.

EDIT: My last point is more in comparison to Vault design in Fallout 3, although I don't mind how the Vaults look in 3 and NV. They were more hi-tech in the originals though.

The Eyebots and the Protectrons.

Even though I didn't use it, I liked how power armor in 4. I liked that you had to enter it and that it required fuel. It made it feel like it was actual power armor instead of fancy metal armor.

Equipment degrade is a nice little addition in FO3 and Obsidian make it better in NV, then they remove it in FO4.

Cats... Or rather Bethesda did what Van Buren was supposed to do and reintroduce them to the setting...

But seriously, Power Armor actually feeling like a walking tank which has been pointed out. That with lore-friendly power supply for the armors would have been alright (but we got fusion cells instead...).

Being able to listen to a pip-boy radio was ok I guess.

Power Armor in Fallout 4 would be quite cool had they hadn't had to bugger the lore in order to make it fit in to the game.

Protectrons were quite cool robots.

That's it. That is literally the only good that they've done for the entire series in my honest view.

Another thing I like is the scavenging system, where every item has parts and things you can get from it, I feel like it was wasted potentional though, would have gone really nice with a much more complex degredation system.

Equipment degrade is a nice little addition in FO3 and Obsidian make it better in NV, then they remove it in FO4.
The way it was implemented though was kind of just tedious

The Character Creator in Fallout 4 is pretty good.
I actually kind preferred the older system. Sliders with number values are better for me because it's a lot easier to make minor adjustments and then revert back to whatever number they were before if I end up fucking something up. Fallout 4's is just too loose for me.
Keep in mind I'm fucking autistic about my character's face and my most recent Skyrim character went through about 5 different noses over the playthrough.
