Bethesda confirms more New Vegas DLC for this year

Honestly nothing new in these interview tidbits from VG247, as it confirms more DLC for New Vegas incoming (that is so obvious I don't know why VG247 thought it worth asking) and Pete Hines refusing to answer on a PC and PS3 release of Dead Money (he probably can't if it's an exclusivity deal).
“Oh absolutely,” said the company’s VP of PR and marketing when asked if we could expect more packs in 2011.

“I don’t think we’ve ever had a product where we said, ‘Yeah, we’re just gonna do one DLC pack and that’s all she wrote.’ We like to support our products. We like to do a good job of that, and I don’t think putting out one DLC pack would reach that.
Spotted on GameBanshee.

The day Dead Money will be available for pc, I most likely don't feel like playing the game anymore.

I wouldn't consider it support if you charge people money for it

If they really wanted to support their products they would fix the damned bugs in their games, and not leave it up to modders! They also wouldn't charge for proper endings ala Broken Steel.

I can agree with that, but you have a budget and only so many man hours.

You could have a really buggy game and the broken steel ending or a decently working game and no Broken Steel ending.

And DLC means a better game in the long run because it provides a cash flow to keep a team working on a game.

Through if they were pretty sure they were going to do Broken Steel then they should have ended some other way than with the Lone Wanderer dead.

They should have put him (or her) in a Hospital bed and cover the many changes to the waste land sequence and ended it with but that is another story.

I already got tired of it, after 2 playthroughs, so hopefully the dlc won't come out any time soon. Around summer would be nice, a reason to play it again.

Not sure I would describe Broken Steel as a 'proper ending', but there we go.

Meh I am pretty sure the DLCs will come out before the release of Skyrim.

Getting the last money out of New Vegas before moving on.

But if Bethesda makes these exclusive deals again in the future its clear that the customers of its games are better off waiting for the edition that collects everything rather than buying the first release.

You can have a really buggy game and a whole bunch of DLCs, or a decently working game and one less DLC. :D

I can't get myself excited for DLCs, most of the time I get the feeling
I'm being ripped off, paying for content, or at least work, that should
have been put in the original game.

Yeah, some people can get excited by getting fucked in the ass.

Explains Bethesda's demographic.

Or you could get a "really buggy game" without the Broken Steel ending (FO3 on release), and then have to pay for the ending (DLC) to get at least some satisfaction out of the game beyond using the DVD as a frisbee. Mind you, still buggy as hell.

I still want to play them as they are in general the only releases this year I am really interested.

Just wish damn Bethesda would tell us when the PC versions come out as I honestly will not get Xbox live for that.
