Bethesda opens merchandise shop

I'll just post something I wrote on the BGS forums:

You can make prints of some posters yourself.

For instance, the Red Menace poster, printed at 200 DPI is a 65x31 cm poster with acceptable quality. You can go lower, at 150 DPI it gives you 87x41cm (34x16 inches). Depends on the quality you want.

There are also five other print-ready files: Courage Today, Victory Tomorrow!, We'll Be There, Chryslus ad 1, Chryslus ad 2 and Nuka Break.

Here's a calculator to figure out the sizes,

If you want to make REALLY high resolution posters, consider using Rasterbator to create a rasterized, tiled version of your poster. It's quite awesome.

That said, I think that ultimately the cheapest option is screen printing your T-shirts on your own.

I want the Fallout logo, NCR flag and Wolfenstein logo shirts.

What would be most awesome (a dream) is if they made some Fallout 1 or 2 miniatures akin to ones Weta workshop does and sells for LotR. Such as a Vault 13 external door in a cave miniature; other ideas: some Enclave troopers in original Advanced MK II PA standing next to a vertibird, a tribal hunting a gecko with a spear, PMV Valdez docked in San Fran, merchants of the Hub with their caravan karts lined up, Frank Fucking Horrigan, Iguana Bob's stand, Typhon reading a Cat's Paw, some human bones and a vault jumpsuit partially buried in a wasteland desert, junkies, mobsters and hookers lining the trash-filled streets of New Reno, and so on.

Why sneaker? It would be better to sell model gun of 10mm pistol or vault 13 plask. doesn't it?

Because there are more people willing to buy and wear shoes than there are people willing to buy a fake gun or a flask.

I mean, sure, it'd be cool, but if they did make them, the prices would be high as hell.

That makes sense. My opinion has flaw
Thanks for your opinion.

When did NMA become so civil and polite?

I likes the messenger bags, nice and simple. Shame about the 60 greenback price.

I love the concept of the bag, don't like the actual product they ended up with. I'd prefer a worn leather look that would fit FO:NV with a symbol that suggested the Fallout universe, or a interior marking Property of Courier #6.

I'm a video game fan, but not enough that I'd wear a Mario, Baldur's Gate, Blizzard or whatever shirt around. The bag would have to be a bit more subtle for me to buy it. (though I do like the NCR flag on a shirt, not so gamey as much as different and humerous.

There's nothing clever like the Black Mesa parking sticker, but I could go for an "I Hate Morndas" mug. The Fallout stuff isn't very good, but the Vault-Tec button-down seems to be passable.

Why is their store so shitty? Why can't I just click "view all products"? Everything has to be in a category and no category appears to feature all possible products, not even on a game-by-game basis. So... why... the hell... oh god, my brain is leaking out of my ears again...

If that happens from just viewing their store, I wonder what happens to that brain of yours if you actually play their games. A maelstrom of brain smush would surely envelope an area of many miles radius!
