Bethesda trademarks Fallout for TV and film

Bethesda doesn't make movies so for they most part the wont be involved with the making of Fallout the movie or Fallout the TV Series.

Unless they open a movie studio, ZeniMovieProductions :(

And Uwe Boll? A little pessimistic there, Bethesda aren't *that* stupid. :P
Every time someone says that about them they come and say "yes we are! Here!"

Ahem, seriously. Uwe Boll is cheap, and it'll still give them money, so, I can't see why they wouldn't go with him if they had no other choice.

There's no solid reason to suspect they're going to actively pursue a Fallout movie/series, they could just be covering their bases.

This is exactly the case, nothing is going to happen.
Big gaming companies do this all the time, Blizzard acquired the license for a Diablo film back in 2000, and obviously nothing ever came out of that. There are several other cases I could mention, but it's not necessary.

The jokes in this thread are terrible, please stop.

Why would they do that? I would assume since they hold the IP, that there wouldn't be a separate need to trademark the movie, because no outsider wouldn't be allowed anyway to do their own project.

Cause Boll got a lot of its money from the German gouvernement thy to a law that supports German movie makers and companies. Though they now realised that Boll doesnt make his movies (most of the time) in Germany, thus in some way hes just cheating.

I doubt we will see much from Boll in the future as its doubtufll that he will get any finanicing since no one of his movies ever gained any earning. And no one neither Bethesda or any other company is that stupid to give a project to someone that never made earnings with his projects.
