Biggest waste of money

Heh. Last shooter i played on console was Quake 2 on PSone.
Jesus...i still have nightmares about the aiming. I cannot understand why someone would choose to buy a FPS for Xbox360 instead of PC.

Well, another contender for "biggest waste award" would be oblivion. It was TOTAL WASTE of time and money. ugh.
I hate level scaling.

Really? I enjoyed Far Cry quite a bit. I thought it was a lot better than FC2.
Yep I really hated the first game. Maybe because I didn't play it when it came out but it seemed so dated, if it wasn't for the graphics the original Half Life still seems so much fresher. It was such a relief to finally rescue the girl jump on the helicopter and fly into the sunset. Only to go to the next level and not the credits, I looked for a walkthrough and found I wasn't even half way through the game and promptly thought sod that I'm not touching this piece of shit again.

Far Cry 2 on the otherhand, I found very impressive. If it wasn't for the generic ammo, magic weapon storage cases and unlimited fresh guns it would go into my all time favourite list. Hell even if they added having your buddies follow you around instead of appearing in the nick of time, that would push it over the edge into the realms of greatness.

okay...Saints Row 2 has to be the biggest piece of turd i have ever seen in my life.
i seriously regret wasting 40 euros on that.

Woah, what didn't you like? And PC or PS3?

Saint's Row 2 really was my favourite game of 2008 and that's why I recommended it to you.

ps3 version.
1.driving is awful
2.graphics aren't really good
3.you need enough respect to do the missions and you gain respect by doing activities which aren't always fun.
4.Stillwater doesn't really feel alive.
5.character customization isn't really good because most of the hairstyles and clothes are gangsta and stuff like that.
6.you can choose 3 different voices(british, gangsta, hispanic) for your character but they haven't included a normal voice for example which is disappointing(male version).
7.shooting during driving is PAINFULLY frustrating.
8.story doesn't really suck you in.

there were however 2 things i really liked:
1.aiming and shooting is really comfortable
2.gun sounds are awesome, much better then GTA IV

but overall GTA IV is a clear winner for me.
but i guess they made Saints Row 2 for people who want to have mindless fun. well, for me a good story and memorable characters are more important.

but i am gonna play it through and see if i will like it as the game progresses.

Hmm, I think I'm going to look into mods for this one. I wonder if it gets a lot of support from modders.

hmmm, actually after playing Saints Row 2 a couple of more hours i must say that i am starting to like the game.
I started the game with another character and started doing some different activities and it felt like a new experience! the assassination missions are quite interesting.

One thing which makes me want to check out Saints Row 2 is the radio. Turn on the radio, tune in to the 80's music channel. Listen as your character starts humming along to "The Final Countdown".

Biggest waste of money?

Neverwinter Nights 2, horribly translated.

yup,he also sings along with the song "A-ha - Take on me". i also liked the idea of being able to buy songs from the music store and creating your own playlist. that was simply an amazing idea. it's stragne, because flaws i mentioned in my previous post are there but my heart doesn't seem to care! :D the game is just mindless fun.

Weep for me.

The Orange Box. Althougth Team Fortress 2 and especcially Portal were great, Half-Life 2 and Episodes 1 and 2 were the biggest loads of SHIT I've ever played. I can't understand why it's so overrated and everyone thinks it's somehow new and unbelievably great.

Half-Life 2 and Episodes 1 and 2 weren't revolutionary but they were much better then some fps games out there.

I guess tastes differ, I rather liked Half Life 2, Ep 1 and Ep 2.

What I hate is that Valve pretty much broke their promise on the Episodic release concept.

Holy shit, I remember this game. A friend bought it thinking it was MK 5. It sucked some major ass.

You get like the most bang for your buck out of that deal. Even if you're not into Hald Life 2, you get them pretty cheap along with two other games. I doubt this is your biggest waste of money?

Well, since I paid over 60 € from it, I think it's pretty much from an only internet shooter and a great game which can be finished in 2 hours on the second playing time.

The best part of the game is the coop multiplayer, over LAN especially. It's just too bad it's just 2 player and not 4 player (although this might have been very difficult to implement). That alone whips the crap out of GTA. Saint's Row 2 is what the GTA series were before becoming a boring Sims with guns. "Hey Nico, wanna go bowling?" "NO YOU FUCKING FAT RUSSIAN TURD, I DON'T WANNA HANG OUT WITH YOUR FUCKING UGLY FACE ANYMORE. EAT SHIT!"

As for me, I regret getting Call of Duty World at War. Sure, it's great, but damn, CoD 4 was better. Far better. And I'm only referring to the online multiplayer, which is why I got it. Modern weapons >>>>> WW2 weapons. Also, I never really got tired of the CoD 4 maps. Can'y really say the same about the sequel. I'm going to sell my copy of CoD 5 and buy Modern Warfare when it's cheap on Steam (especialy now as there are new maps).

You got ripped off, dude, even in a shithole like Croatia, with its hu-fucking-monguous VAT rate, the Orange Box never cost much more than €40.

And in addition to the Internet-only shooter and a brilliant 2-hour game, the Orange Box also includes Half-Life 2 with both expansions, so I'd say even €60 isn't an unfair price.

For some reason, unknown to common sense, all new games cost 70 € as soon as they come out and slowly start reducing in Finland. Also I think HL 2 and episodes were so big load of crap I wouldn't pay a cent from them now.

I'm shocked over the recent wave of negativity for the Half-life 2 games around here. Shocked! I'm actually really curious to hear what people don't like about it.
