Voodoo Extreme 3D has posted a trailer for Book of Eli, a post-apocalyptic film written by former PC Gamer editor-in-chief and Fallout player Gary Whitta and directed by Albert Hughes.

Good stuff: Denzel Washington, wrecked highways, that sort of stuff.

Less good stuff: scenes where the hero is encircled by enemies and proceeds to defeat them easily were cool like one or two times, ten years ago.

Agreed.

But Denzel and Gary together in post-apocalyptic future = awesome.I really hope it will be good.

Also still interested in The Road.

Ugh, faux-sword play scenes with Denzel Washington? No thanks.

Dude's overrated anyway. Film still looks good otherwise. Grey'n'brown, naturally, but good.

Post-apo action movie? With Washington?

Oldman might be cool in it, but Washington?

Not really interested...

I like the atmosphere of the trailer. But I got to agree on the nonsense of the fights.

I think I'll go to the cinema for that one.

Can't say i'm impressed and as other pointed out above, the fighting scene looks ridiculous...

Hey, it was cool in V for Vendetta.

I can understand the sword fight. It's a post apocalyptic world and ammo
are scarce. but why Mila looks, so, clean? How the hell did she keep moisturizing her skin? :ugly:

And yeah folks are saying this is Fallout 3 movie. Ssh.... people do have the memory of a flea when there's already one being made.

Garry Whitta said that Mila Kunis being so clean and model-looking will make sense in the context of the movie...wonder what that context will be.

1. She's an alien
2. She's a robot
3. She just came out of cryostasis
4. She just came out of a vault
5. She licks herself like a cat
6. She's a hologram
7. SHYAMALAN TWIST TEHY ARE ALL HOLOGREMS

Hey, it was cool in V for Vendetta.

But V's fight scenes were actually good, unlike what I just saw in this trailer.

There was also intelligence to be found, and this... doesn't look too likely.

Aye. The fights in the trailer just look clumsy. Although it could be down to bad cutting.

I'll be watching this eventually, although I won't go out of my way to do so.

That was interesting. Last time I went to see a movie was in the 20th century. If it's ever shown on the television, I might watch it.

That sword fight was awkward, but maybe editors aren't finished... editing. Although, if it wasn't film ready then why would they show it in a trailer... I guess its just an awkward sword fight.

Also, there be a cat in that trailer! :D A Sphynx cat to be exact, a hairless breed developed in Canada in 1966. You just learned.

I'm surprised to find Whitta as a script writer as I didn't think much of him at PCG way back. Can't really judge from the trailer but I'm not immensely interested (mostly curious about the plot device).
