Dennis Hopper passed away

Yip, just read about it.

Not my favourite actor, but man he's had some great roles throughout his long career. Sad day.

Let's have an intelligent conversation here: I'll talk, and you listen.

I liked him. He was cool.

And he makes it 3.

He also did my favorite line in a movie ever!

"Monkey!" - Dennis Hopper as King Koopa in Super Mario Bros the movie.

Haha, I totally forgot about that movie... it was so silly... but I still wanted to see a second movie...

Yep... it starts... over the next few years actors that we've seen in our generation will die one by one.

For example, i checked out Sigourney Weaver, i remembered her from the Aliens series. Now she is old... very old compared to the image i had. So yeah, actors of our childhood will die... and it SUCKS!

He could play a good nut. Will always remember him for the Speed villain and Slater's dad in True Romance. RIP

I find Gary Coleman's death a bit more sad though for some reason.

He was awesome in Blue Velvet with that amylnitrate mask (or whatever the fuck that was).

Meh. He had a good life. I don't care.

what was that movie im thinking of...

wierd science or my science project or something?

Yeah. It's sad for me. He catalyzed David Lynch's vision. 74 is a good age to go though. Not to mention his role in Apocalypse Now.

Damn. Lots of people are dying lately. Well, famous ones.

In dreams, I walk with you.

I think the biggest problem we 'old timers' have with the passing of actors of our childhood is that there are barely any competent or memorable actors to replace them.

There’s plenty of memorable actors out there…for all the wrong reasons.

Maybe you're not watching the right movies then.
I find there are tons of good actors out there, both young and old, but they all suffer from the same terrible disease: the insatiable hunger for new things and the limited attention span of their audience.

There is something disappointing to see people remember Dennis Hopper for his roles in video games, Super Mario movies, and sneaker commercials.

You're absolved from having watched SM Bros Movie as a kid, but what excuse is there at this point for ever watching another movie for the rest of your life if you haven't seen Apocalypse Now?

This is why Alec Guinness went around slagging Star Wars his whole life.
