Anyhow...it depends on what you would mean by intelligent life I guess. Let's replace intelligent life by advanced life.

There's probably aliens about. Stupid aliens. Why should we/they care if they/we exist?

Hmmm, I sense a hint of sarcasm here "Baboon". yes, I am aware of how you spell careful, I know how to spell wasteland, and before anyone asks, yes I can spell dweller. The picture was done by a polish friend, in other words, he cant spell as well. I am going to take the picture off soon, but I am keeping it up until the site is done, that way my friends feelings aren't hurt. Thank you for your observations my friend.
 
My perspective to the End of the World is the following:

An insane General goes completely and utterly mad, and sends his bomber wing to destroy the “Enemies”. He suspects that these “Enemies” are conspiring to pollute the "precious bodily fluids" of the American people. The U.S. president meets with his advisors, where the ambassador of the enemy country tells him that if the enemy country is hit by nuclear weapons, it will trigger a "Doomsday Device" which will destroy all plant and animal life on Earth. In the end, and after the efforts to prevent it, this “Doomsday Device” will launch its offensive and wipe out all life on the Earth… including the poor sods that thought they would be safe at silos…
