The NCR aren't obviously. But this new look for them may have been "inspired" by Killzone, even subconsciously.

doesn't the dog become obsolete once you put a gas mask on it? All that one is usefull for happens in the head area, no?

It`ll be even less useful if you let him suffocate from gas exposure. And after chemical attack you can take, gas mask away and have fully operational dog once again.

Cept' it isn't. Gasmask and power armor is a shared theme. People just tend to freak over the red-colored eye lenses on said mask. Here's some Aqua.

Edit: That "Frozen Tundra" feeling that the image just got, actually is amazing. Totally unintended side effect.
Edit2: I blame my sig for subliminal influence of the devs in their red-eye-lenses color scheme. (Just noticed my blasphemy)

yeah I was just thinking the same actualy. Do people know how old taht "gasmask + red lense" is actualy ? Its just all those kidz today know it only from 1 or 2 games.

Dracon M'Alkir has a great point, by changing the colour of the lenses you can instantly make it look like something else, and the result bears almost no resemblance to the Helghast from Killzone 2.
