Ehehehe, I laughed at it. As apparently most did. The problem is that a lot of people view as as nazi-dictators who are wrong about everything and ban people for just disagreeing. Which is not what we do at all, we do listen to what people have to say, as long as it's well-founded, and we have formed our opinions reasonably over the past years. Our harsh methods aren't appreciated, so we're all branded as evil and stupid aliens.paperbackwriter said:Mea culpa my friends... I wrote that copy.
Long time lurker, first time poster. The one thing I've noticed is that the folks here at NMA have a decent sense of humour... some of the time. I thought that a fun reference to what one of the devs said a while back might give you all a chuckle - what with the tongue-in-cheek nature of Fallout.
*blinks*If I've offended, I apologize. To the young gentleman from Rhode Island who already sent me a complaint, you need to lighten up dude. It's a game that we all love. No matter what your opinion of Fallout 3 is it's not worth bursting a vessel over.
Hmm, it's a bit bad practice, though. Games get cancelled quite often and almost always get postponed. Finally - in regards to the release date - it's an approximation. We've been given a rough time frame from the vendor and we're using it for pre-orders. A little like what EB does, but we're doing it online only.
Jesus Christ said:I forgive you paperbackwriter. But what you forgot to mention was the other eight angry Fallout fans over at DAC (Duck and Cover) which makes allot more than 11 fans.
paperbackwriter said:I was going to mention DAC as well, but the thought of emails full of thousands of smileys deterred me.
PhredBean said:It wasn't the vendor post that annoyed me, I found it somewhat amusing. What bothered me (and from reactions, it seems like it annoyed a few other people) were the links Kotario posted.
Nick Walter-some guy at quarter to something said:I have reversed my stance on micropayments and now wish to see them heavily implemented in the new fallout game. I want $2 dollar fees for outfits, weapons, levels, etc. Hell, I want to see the opportunity to use micropayments during character creation. I want the option to spend $2 for extra perks or skills.
I want all of this because it will be so totally worth it just to watch the explosion of enraged idiocy on the NMA forums.
