Fallout 1.5: Resurrection

Replacing the executable with a pre-patched fallout2.exe worked! Thanks for the help, guys. Much appreciated.
You might encounter issues later. Because you skip the loader, some Resurrection specific game changes won't get applied.
fores.exe isn't the main executable, it calls the extensionless "FALLOUT2" and applies memory hacks

Hi all. I wanted to stop by and ask about this game. Is it me, or are all the quests only for an evil character? In Fo3 (and to a lesser degree fo2) you'll often get the choice of playing the "good" route. Where you get to punish evil, and you can finish some quests for the benefit of most or all NPC's involved.

In this game, it seems like you get to be evil, or you have to fight the entire town. I'm level 20 something so that just results in a massacre. For instance, I served justice to the greedy murdering caravan woman in sedit. So the entire town and all cops came down on me. Even though it was below ground, and they shouldn't have heard anything.

I find this is the case with most of the quests. You either do some dirty deed, or you don't get to do the quest. There's no option to complete the quest, if you're wanting to play a "good" character. Any idea why that is?

I remember Frederyk should tell you to forget about this after Nicole's ambush.
The only option here without hostility from the whole town is to ignore her and just continue to help Frederyk on his other problems.

You can kill her without repercussions if you get the support of Sedit police.

You need to finish the second quest for the Mexicans and guard a meeting in the basement between Mexicans and deputy Tyler.
After that go to the police station and talk with Tyler about replacing the sheriff. Agree to kill him and preferrably use the poison provided by Tyler.

Tyler will then want to consolirate his power. He can control Fryderyk, so he only asks you to kill Nicole. Only her personal guards will turn hostile when you enter the basement.

It leads to second worst ending for Sedit though (only murdering everyone important is worse).

I haven't been able to get a quest from the mexicans yet. They all just tell me to go away or something. They won't even let me up the stairs in the casino, to see the boss. Do you know how I can get the first quest from them? I assume you start somewhere in the drug town, through the deathclaw cave. Thanks!

Did you accept a quest from ghouls in Little Hub? If you did that then the quests are blocked.
Otherwise you should be able to speak to a guy guarding the stairs (Sanchez) about taking care of the loud drunk. After proving yourself you'll be able to meet the boss.

Resurrection teaches you in Rat Hole that you can play both factions for personal gain and you'll only anger them by doing something hostile (robbing the bar or killing doctor), but it doesn't work like that at all in later towns.

Majority of Resurrection factions somehow instantly know that you've accepted a quest from their enemies.

In case of Mexicans and ghouls it's even stranger as you can do the first quest for Mexicans (even if you brutally murder the drunk) and get quests from ghouls.

I remember most towns being a choice between good and evil. In Rat Hole you choose between the good and the bad side and the same in Corath and Albuquerque. In Sedit you could help the Ghouls and work for Crimson Caravan.

Are there any other mods like this one? Where there's practically a whole game created on the fallout 2 engine. I have already played Fallout of Nevada. Anything else?

I went to the modding section but it seems they only have subforums for Fo3, and Fo4

Hello, I came here to see if anybody could maybe tell me what happens if you help the super mutants by killing the hunter leader, ad then also fixing the generator? Like what the ending slide would be for them? Do they sort of become like marcus, or do they just do nothing, or maybe do they attack the other towns? Also, what happens if you choose to instead help the vault empire? Are they good at all, or at least peaceful in the end slide?
One last thing, I have the companions Keri and Lystra in my party, but I don't know what weapons are in 1.5, that would be great for them. I know keri needs small arms, and lystra small energy guns, but what guns are in 1.5, that may be good for them?

Like what the ending slide

In case you want to spoil yourself you can check out the link below for every ending for each location.

Mutant endings
Only 2 endings- they're either killed or they continue their journey east.

Empire
If you fight against Anonim then they abolish the wall and the whole town prospers.
If you side with Anonim then they close the Empire to outsiders completely.
If you help the Mutant Hunters then they destroy the Empire.
Siding with Resurrection in their base destroys the city completely and kills you.

10mm SMG for Keri early on, later on you can give her a .223 pistol or the revolver (only 1 in entire game is held by the Mexican leader in Sedit).

Best weapon for Lystra is the light rifle you can buy in Empire. You also get plenty of them through the Anonim questline (either side), so I'd just wait.

Thank you so much :-) !!! That helps a lot. I was stuck deciding what to do with the mutants, as I really wanted their leaders gun. I hope it doesn't give me bad karma to kill them though. And thanks so much for the weapons, I thought maybe the only good weapon for keri was the annihilator shotgun, and the alien blaster for lystra.

I thought you could make that ammo ?? I forget tbh. I killed the perv guy in Albuquerque. Even when I upped my skills I could not rob his stock, it always blows.

Ooops ammo making is Nevada. Maybe in Vault City from that robbing bitch.

I reloaded an older save, before I killed the perv, but he only sold small energy sells. The rest were explosives, ammo for miniguns and flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and melee weapons. He also sold 7.62 ammo, which can be used by the anti material rifle, but the only merchant in Corath also sells that. Im thinking maybe I could rob the vault empire, but I like them, and also I think it will just yield the other energy ammo, with the nuclear symbol on it. My thought was maybe it could be found on dead rebirth, since some use energy weapons, but im not too sure if they'll give 2mm ec. I was thinking maybe progema could have some, but I was looking to see if there is replenishable 2mm ec source.

Actually, I don't think the rebirth drop it. After testing it, it seems they only drop the laser rifle ammo, the one with the nuclear symbol. I can only think maybe there is some in progema, but not on merchants.
