I noticed Jeremy in the Gecko reactor no longer is carrying a 3-step plasma transformer to pickpocket.
 
Don't know if this has already been reported, but you can't open the door to the slaves at the Slavers Camp. Poor Suliks Sister.
 
primitive tribe hunters

another bug...
I get the quest to find the missing hunters, etc. when I bring back the surviving hunter to the village, get message for quest solve & 600 xp, than I talk to the guy who gave this quest and he thanks me for doing so, but my Pip Boy still shows the quest as active. furthermore, each additional time I return to this area from the world map, I get the message again for fiding the lost hunters and 600 xp, but if I talk to the quest-giver, he just says casual things, as if the quest was already completed...

Which slave pen do you mean? Sulik's sister is in the shack to the right of the main building, not the fence to the left. The latter one is what I could not open.

I was able to open both with the keys I got from killing the Slavers
 
cartrunk bug

I have windows xp professional, my fallout 2 is UK version and I installed the restoration project 1.1 to fresh fo2(humongous install).
version number is right.... 1.02.23 EXP 1.1 .... isn't it?
 
Arroyo Crash

I just got out of the Temple of Trials and experiencing a crash(screen goes black) when I leave Arroyo. Not immidietly though, only after I go like half a centimeter away from Arroyo(Weird *non*-random encounter?)

Anyone knows what causes this? :o

That sounds like the first encounter with Kaga.

That sounds like the first encounter with Kaga.

Hmm, I tried reinstalling the game manually, patching it with the 1.02, then applying the RP patch. Now I crash when I finish the Temple of Trials instead.. what the hell is going on? :p
1.0 didn't crash more than once(for me anyway). o_O
 
It sounds like your ddraw.ddl (or sfall.dll) is not working. What OS are you running and what does your main menu say?
 
Hey Killap, i`ve found another bug... my game crashes when i enter to any other level in EPA besides the first one (that one where are wrecked cars and plants... and dogs. i can`t remember the word translated), the vent and the utilities level.
When i enter to the elevator, and select first, second or third level... the game crashes. I`m still using Win 98.
I can get to you the error report... is something with the Kernel32.dll and it has all the values of the system registries (EAX, CS, DS, and all that from assembler xD)

BTW did you found any solution to the Pirmitive tribe Issue?
Please, if you found it, tell me.

I've tried to change the SFALL.DLL for an older version on a fresh install, but it's still the same...

Man, you are just not lucking out here. Sadly, you have joined a small (yet growing) group of people who crash when trying to go to the other levels of the EPA via the elevator. At the moment there is no real answer to what is causing this let alone a way to fix it. I'm working on it though and I hope to get to the bottom of it.

Nope, not yet. I still have no idea.

Oops, my mistake. Grab the file again.

The new second way (based on PE check) should finally work properly now. Still, the original way of getting the quest was from the guy near the well. This way works just fine.


i downloaded this file and put it in scripts and now i get an error message whenever i try to repair the well :(
 
Heya guys, I'm about to try out the Restoration Project, kindly provided to us by killap.

I've got a little question, though. Do I have to install his mod over the clean FO2 installation, or do I have first to patch the game by the latest _official_ patch (1.02, I believe)?

Are you telling me you intentionally beat them to low health? because there's one feature called 'apathetic state', caused by hitting them repeatedly, when they are in your team, and when they are out. It's on the original version, and maybe Killap didnt change it in this restoration pack.

Haha, didn't know about this. Thought beating them to low health could "reset" the state that I was not aware of (crippled limbs).

Guess this is something left for the extra violent bad dudes to fool around with :D

Do normal installation, just make sure you install the "humongous" one. Then apply restoration project and you're good to go. No extra clutter needed, just FO2 and restoration project installer.

Yes it does, just like it says in the first post in this thread, in the Expansion readme, and so on. =]
 
Your NPCs' temper is varied. Violent like Marcus? he will counter and be hostile immediately. Mild-manner like Vic? he's gone into apathetic state. Mixed up like Sulik? he become hostile for one round, hit you. If you dont strike back in next round he become normal again.

Perl's guide is quite detailed on this topic.
