Great news indeed. Even better news is that I am now on Spring Break. If all things go well, 1.3 will be released in the next 1-2 weeks. :D (fingers crossed)

I really hope so. I'm going crazy
It'll be worth it in the end though.

Nah, I'm not into places like Cancun or Acapulco 8-) . Recently over Spring Breaks I've been going to Europe, but this year I am chillin' in the States. Need the rest too. Also I'm low on cash.

Pardon me if this is wrong place to ask, but am playing Killap's amazing FRP v1.2, and enjoying it immensely. I kind've miss the combat stats from v1.1, as well as the extremely nasty degree of wasteland random encounters (am currently experimenting with tweaking WorldMapEncounterRate). But otherwise v1.2 is vastly superior.

However, I'd like to tweak game a bit further, and was wondering how to go about:

1) giving player character 2-6 extra character points at character creation stage (to give him equivalent of "gifted" trait without actually giving it) ; and

2) giving character at start a few extra items (brass knuckles, leather shirt, 20 scout manuals)

Any help most appreciated. Thanks,

Hironymos

I'am affraid it is the wrong place.

The Restoration Project is just that a Restoration Project, it would only add things in if they were not implemented in the original release (Sulik's sister....) or missing ( Shi sub..... cant wait!!!!!!!!)

Hey killap, just one question: I see that the German website The Patches Scrolls has now added your Fallout 2 Restoration Project patch (both 1.1 and 1.2) to their archive of patches. Did you give them permission to do so? (Or did they ask? Do you care whether they have it up or not?)

Why is everyone so upset about this? (At least it feels like it because yesterday I saw a similar kind of question/ post on a other forum.) I have uploaded the Restoration Project too on fallout-files.de without asking before. I would bet, many others uploaded it too to other places.

Good question... As long as the credits are given/there's some read_me.txt included with info who made that I see no problem where (any) mod is hosted.

Drama... meh...

They did e-mail me saying that the uploaded mirrors to my work. I told them I was fine with it.

I was actually planning on approaching them when 1.3 of the RP was released, but they jumped the gun. I'm not concerned though, they didn't know.

As long as credit is given (and the readme.txt is not removed) I am fine with people mirroring my work.

That's cool. The only reason I asked was because the very same site got into a hissy fit some time ago because other sites offered downloads of Wesp's patch for V,TM: Bloodlines. The Patches Scrolls claimed that they were the only website (beside the author's) that had permission from the author to host the files.

(It still amazes me just how many digital drama queens pop out of the woodwork whenever Wesp's patch becomes a topic of discussion or a news story somewhere.)

I just wanted to know if Patches Scrolls had adopted a "Can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude regarding unofficial patches. Good to see they haven't.

I really don´t understand this kind of discussion..
It takes about a year to translate the RP into german, sure that the peoole from Fallout now are alway talking back with Killap, it`s him who gives the new files for for translating the RP 1.3 .. :?

Here we are! The 18th! 2 weeks later!
I had a feeling you would be keeping track... 8-)

Perhaps it was 2 weeks + n days, where at the time n was 0 but since then it has increased.

So, Fallout-wise, things went pretty well over the past 2 weeks. Apparently I had more to finish than I thought I did, but much was accomplished. I was thinking about adding in one last bit of awesomeness (I feel you guys will truly be blow away by the amazingness of it.), but I am going to hold off on it though and put it in 1.4 with the Shi sub (which seems to finally be seeing the light of day!!).

I need to finish some RL stuff in the next few days, so I won’t be able to put the final touches on 1.3 yet. Still, things are relatively on track – which is good. Keep checking back though. I am still holding on to what I said about March being a good time for releasing 1.3.

hehe. I was just kidding.

I know that you can't be sure of anything when it deals with modding and scripting. There's no hurry.

Keep up the good work. :)
