are there any compatibility issues. Do I have to check something in the compatibility tab? I'm running with Windows 7 ultimate

So I noticed there was a lot more Broc Flowers and Xander Roots at the start, but is this meant to happen? They can still all be given to Hakunin for the Healing Powder but it looks to me like they aren't stacking properly.

Did I just find the first (if very minor) bug? :)

It seems I have a little bug (al least I think): I have made a fresh installation of Fo2 snd I tried it and everything worked fine, than I installed Killap's RP: the rock is present in front of the temple of trials and i can see the change in the main screen, but now I seem to miss a sound when I hit the ants inside the temple when i use unarmed attacks, they do their own noises but there is none when I hit them. I am playing in Vista.
Edit: Even during the fight with the other tribe man at the end of the temple, I can' t hear the sound when i hit him, but I hear it when he hits me.

I'm running in Windows 7 too. Had a little trouble installing since this is first time I'm installing Fallout in Win7. My suggestion is just to install Fallout in some folder like C:\Fallout 2\ rather than in Program Files. Because of the stupid Vista/7 UAC. When you install the patch run the game and you will notice that famous rainbow fucked up colors effect. Just go to options and SCRN(screen) and change color to 16-bit and set resolution you like. Than restart game and everything should be fine. You do not need any compatibility mode.

@Killap I'm sure this has been mention before but will there be a way to fix not being able to go from one part of the screen to the other? I am not really sure how to explain this properly but it seems like there is a limit in how much distance can Chosen One walk and in high resolutions(I play on 1280x1024) you cannot click on the bottom of the screen and come there from the top. And this is irritating because if you are just trying to pass through one part of the city to the other if you happen to click to far Chosen One just stops walking/running. I know this is nothing related strictly to 2.0 it has been around for a while but i just wanted to ask.

I really liked how you edited credits and added that belt into screen. Good job!!!

Thank you killap, I just have to finish one budget plan and then I can start playing this sweetness. 5 days of Fallout 2 with rp 2 sounds so much more than what I could ever ask for.

Big thanks to Killap, .Pixote. and Dravean and everyone else who has been part of making this.

I've noticed this too, I'm on Windows XP, original Fallout 2 and RP 1.2 worked fine. I also can't hear the music.

Thank you killap very much...

Do I have to install 1.02 patch or something else before RP 2.0 or not?

Oh me, oh my... I have installed the new RP 2.0 (thank you Killap and everybody else who worked on that project) and found the first problem, while I believe it to be a problem perhaps not associated with the RP. It goes like this : when I enter the options menu and character creation, it all seems like it's fast forwarded, the dude picture is spinning like crazy and when i try to enter the resolution, one type makes around two to three numbers, I tried to type in 768, but all I get is 7777 or 7766. Any ideas?

Wow, it really is here. Thank you for your hard work killap. After downloading, I had to really check the file to see if it was genuine, and not an April Fool's joke, but it is the real deal :).

About the sound problem: could it be an error in the fallout2.cfg file? There was a weird path for the music_path2... Could someone without the sound problem post his/her path?

before this thread gets hectic can I get a few quick questions in?

Is it recommended or do I need to apply the latest official patch or do I just install this over a fresh cd install ?

Is there anything else (new maps, new models, new graphics, new resolution) I can download to improve my playing experience?

Playing fallout 2 for the first time hope fallout3 and tactics don't make f2 underwhelming

It says in readme of the manual installation that you don't need any official or unofficial patch to play RP 2.0, so you can install it over 1.0. Correct me if I'm wrong.

At last :P Yeah, it`s not a dream, RP 2.0 is finally here! Thanks Killap and all who help with this greatest mod, and other mods too :PPP

Maybe you should torrent RP 2.0 - it`ll be much faster to download?

P.S. Goodbye my wife, goobye my job :P

1. Sound problem confirmed, and I think that it has no connection to music path in fallout2.cfg, as the path is normal.

2. If I try to use Sfall settings to change resolution, the game restarts, but shows "Failure initializing input devices" error. The only remedy is to reinstall RP 2.0

3. Small error in changes at the end of RP install:

....

Navarro:
--------
• Ability to fly to Enclave in a vertibird.

...

(• Vertibird is no longer flyable to the Enclave, but... )

One question. Does anyone know if the global shaders are any good.

http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Global_Shaders

I just thought that I dont want to put all that big resolution (maybe 800/600 or something tops) and if global shaders would make it a little better graphics I would like to try it. Are global Shaders something that would be recommended with the RP2.0?

EDIT:

Nevermind. Installed and found that rp2.0 has shaders of its on (Or at leas I think those were the thing I turned on, anyway looks great.)
