    Yes, maybe this is problem - don't install unofficial patch AND Restoration project together. Try install only clean Fallout 2 + RP, nothing else. (it's mentioned in killap's "readme" file)

    On a hunch i told my dumb computer to reinstall the UO patch... This was before i saw your message. Booted up the game and its working. Com-pUt-er dumb, me smack now :p . Thanks for the help.

    matthewfarmery, i've gotten to Modoc and i had the same thing happen to me. Vic just flat out goes psycho on the brahmin after all the dogs are killed. Fortunately, the brahmin don't hit back and you can just exit combat but it's weird. I've found that the other issue with AI being inactive comes and goes. At this point, it's working most of the cases but sometimes they'll just stand in there and watch as some deathclaws just shreds me to pieces.

    Okay, new problem. When i complete the temple of trials, the game just does nothing and the screen goes black... i can still change combat stuff and pause the game but the movie won't play.

    Stupid, stupid computer. Reinstalling RP

    i did googled up for a savegame editor to try to delete the pariah dog from before both didnt work for this mod (in the end i had to kill it myself)

    which is why asked here, instead of wasting time on looking/testing savegame editors that may seem to work or work.
    google is nice but with few hours of gameplay in the balance i value your experience more.

    anyway, this one seems to work, i didnt said which item exactly i should add so i tried the reactor holodisk, i'll see if it works.

    EDIT: it is the 'reactor holodisk' item and if doesnt work you need the vault_gecko_plant gvar be 12.

    that does sound very familiar, clearing the mines in redding, (pretty tough) but the AI doesn't check if you are in the way, (due to limited space, you can't really move that far) vic at least seems to ignore that Im in front of him while targeting the alien critter (which ends up doing a lot of damaged) (combat shotgun) but he is a bit more aggressive, but targeting the wrong things)

    but yeah, I seen this inactivity from the AI, and Cassidy isn't bad, but that assault rife I gave him is utter useless, don't do that much damage at all, (any suggestions what weapon I should give this guy?)

    but yeah, anyway, the AI is a little strange at times, but since that guard quest its been mostly fine, (but vic is still useless and no broken limbs as I checked) at least in points, very strange

    Will 2.1 come with the latest timeslip's engine tweaks? Manual NPC control seems a very interesting thing to try.

    there is a bug, after fighting in the ring in new reno, puting any ranged weapon in my hands result in CTD

    If you are using sfall 2.10 then yes this bug was introduced. It has already been corrected by Haen, but you will have to wait until sfall 2.11 is released.

    is there some kind of error report generated on ctd, debug tool or some other way i can find out the cause of the problem?

    because i had quite few ctd's mostly un replicate able, like the Random: Kaga encounter which crushed in the middle and few times during battle for example in Modoc a rat was stuck in a no man zone, meaning there was no direction i could shoot at it and no one was attacking it but it was attacking sulik and when i tried to leave an ctd...

    Was Kaga planned to be on the original Fallout 2?


    I think he's lame... :/



    Also... Anyone ever tried the vertibird mod with RP?


    I really really want to install the vertibird mod...

    I know this time round he is closer to the original intent, but I think the previous one, despite being in forced encounters, was a lot more interesting. The dialogue actually seemed to make more sense, and the final encounter by the graveyard was priceless!

    It was also a lot easier to meet him last time round, nearly after every couple of levels. I've seen him twice now only and I am already at level 23.

    Now, to some bugs:

    It seems that taking Cassidy to the Cat's Paw in New Reno causes him to constantly load and unload his gun from the inventory, causing an annoying 'clicking' sound.

    Related to that is also the fact now I am a made man (not sure if this is the issue btw) anytime I go to the Cats Paw, for any of the sex options, the screen fades to black, but then the game crashes. This did not happen before.

    I've also sucessfully managed to become the made man of 3 families (using the sneak + combat mode) to avoid fights and speak to the heads of each family. When I did this, I could walk into the bars/casinos of all three and not be attacked. Some time has passed and I have returned to New Reno, but now this does not seem possible anymore, they all attack me, except my last family (the last one I joined) the Mordinos. Why is this the case? I remember a last game where they would not attack me period.

    You find Kaga in a graveyard on his last encounter?


    I usually just kill him >.>


    Anyway... no one knows if the vertibird mod works with RP?

    The last encounter was by a dug out grave (mine was at night too!) which was really creepy and I think added to the game.

    I let him live to see what the next encounter would be, but that was the final one, ie he did not run after being injured after a certain point.

    He's just too weak for me and my followers after the 2~3 encounter.


    I'll suggest giving Kaga high health until the last encounter...

    First time I encounter Kaga, as a dumb character (Int3) I get cought in a conversation-loop.

    My typo remark seems to count for this object on a lot of maps :
    "A pile of old, cardboard boxes". I think there shouldn't be a comma inside this phrase?
