game seems to be locking up in San Francisco, specifically when I'm fighting The Dragon's men. after knocking out the 4th opponent I hear a twang and the game stops responding.

EDIT/Update;
it seems to be getting worse.
can't even finish the fight with the 3rd or sometimes 2nd opponent.
All after getting to the last one once last night. The only change since then were to my SPECIAL stats via the Brotherhood bunker and the Hubologists

I am not saving in battle either, I just save before the fight.

Some small issues:

When pausing the game only the top half becomes shadowed. Probably resolution patch related. Playing at 1024 x 768.

At the beginning, if you walk behind Klint and talk to him, he will show up the dialogue as if you already been through the Temple of Trials.

I just encountered Kaga for the first time, and he runs away after one hit, even though it's about 5% of his life. Also when he runs away a lot of time he get stuck and you can easily kill him with him doing nothing, even though he would have totally pawned me.

Maybe because of that he didn't became the Choosed One !

He is mentally unstable and a pu*ssy !!

You know, you could just think of yourself making a intelligence 1 dumbass character, and becoming a choosen one, makes him (kaga) even worse than that, if he hasn't become the CH O .

Ok, i know, it's a bug, but i still had to nickpick !

Other "bug" is that when my teammates wear power armors, they can use EVERY weapon. So Vic, Miria and Cat Jules uses turbo plasma rifles :D And Cassidy uses solar scorcher. I think they should't be able to use those weapons...

Jesus Christ... if you don't want them to use, don't give it to them, WHY the restrictive things you like have to become an erga omnis rule? Fallout Bible states that Vic's Energy Weapon Skill is 10 points higher than Small Guns, Cassidy is almost as good with Energy, and Cat Jules is described by his creator as a bad ass soldier who has Bigs & Energy tagged AND can teach you how to use energy weapons better (10% bonus iirc)

The game should be about options, not about restrictions. You don't like, don't do: let others have fun with a Turbo Plasma Army in the end game. Besides, Gauss Rifles are WAY more imba, so it's not a balance/hardiness issue.

Speaking of Cat Jules; anyone else get the impression, he's... ahem, like, gay? I mean, he makes comments about his own "nice ass" and seems rather overly concerned with breaking a nail?

Were the characterizations of the three EPA individual NPC's a remnant of the original developer vision or are the RP new additions?

Have you ever watched Red Dwarf? I'm pretty sure that Cat Jules is based on the character on the show who was descended from an actual cat. This "cat" ancestor is why he acts like... well... a cat.

Wow after thinking the talking toaster wasn't obvious enough that the EPA was going to have more Red Dwarf references, someone didn't get that Cat Jules wasn't a reference?
Not to mention when you view his person with the binoculars it clearly finishes off the slightest doubt. Even if you haven't figured it out through the name drop, the character description before even getting him out of stasis.. The cats not gay, he is just a bad ass, with a sense of fashion.
The EPA was a little over on the references it would have been nice if it was more integral to the game as a whole instead of just small blip on the map that doesn't require any involvement through any other towns or persons outside besides the two npc's that give you the location. As well as the Abbey it was like hey, throw that shit in there just for the hell of it. I loved playing them, they were well made and the time spent into them is more than appreciated. I just don't get that fallout feeling when I play through those locations.

Could somebody direct me to the troubleshooting link for 2.12b? I just bought a new monitor and now I keep getting "application errors" and "failure initializing input..." whenever I try to reinstall or play. Nothing changed with my CPU, just a new monitor. Thank you!

Check the first post in this thread; RP tech wiki links are there.

What OS you are running?
Anyway:

1.) be sure, you have DirectX 9.0c updated
2.) open "ddraw.ini" file and check the values:
Code:
Mode=4
GraphicsWidth=X
GraphicsHeight=Y
(X,Y = monitor's native resolution)
3.) open "f2_res.ini" and check these:
Code:
SCR_WIDTH=640
SCR_HEIGHT=480
4.) try to run the game

I'm running vista and never had any problems, but my old monitor burnt out and had to buy a new one (Samsung SyncMaster B2230. Thanks for the help and I'll give things a shot.

I apologize for luck of activity and updates from my side. My life got too complicated for time being and I have problem with mobilizing myself :hide: and I lost Internet activity due accident (my laptop fell to the floor crashing the modem :( ) so I can only be on-line at work or at my mom's place. I'm unable to add my files before Christmas (Fallout saves are on the other computer) but I'll try to do it as soon as I will be able. I'll try to update things before Christmas but no promises however. :wall: :puppy-dog:
Big sorry

Here's my comments. A lot of things are negative, but I loved playing it through, I just highlighted what could be even better. Don't get me wrong, it's already great. :)
Thanks for the feedback. I'll hopefully get around to commenting on these when I get some free time at the end of next week. I appreciate comments that are critical, and from what I read in your post you've got good suggestions.

Oh, that Red Dwarf, LOL... I never really got into that series unfortunately. Although I did hear of it, sometimes Brit humor just escapes me; obviously, my loss then. Thanks ;)

I thought Abbey was great. To me, it fits well with Fallout 2, but as anyone has noticed, Fallout 2 per se, does not fit well with Fallout 1. Still a great game, though.

Hello to all.

My respect Killap&Co and thanks too. This mod is really cool.
Cool! Keep us updated on the progress. It would be great to have a Russian translation.

I still need to see what's happening with the other translators (German, Polish, etc), but I just don't have the time... Don't expect multilingual support in the next release unless you want me to delay for an unknown amount of time.

As for the german translation I believe it's done now, easteregg.msg was the last one to translate. ;)
