Will the "Grave Digger" reputation affect me besides karma loss?
I did read about the implementation of CoP, that's why I decided to try it.
I just wasn't entirely sure what it actually does in detail, like negating reputations, which I'll assume now it does, and that "fully implemented" means that Sulik won't react to slaver while Lenny, Cassidy and Marcus still do.
Thanks for clearing it up.
No, according to Per Jorner's guide, it doesn't. And within my limited experience I never discovered anything to the contrary.
Is there anyone running this on Mac OS GOG version?
I've been trying for the past 2 days getting it to work by following the instructions from http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/F2RP_Technical_Info but to no avail.
Is there other tag skill checks in this game because at least speech needs to be a tag skill, if you want to convince Cameron to not fight you? I'm making a cheat character which has all SPECIAL stats at 10 and all skills at 300%, but four tag skills seems to be the maximum amount? Also adding all perks, so that every content (except gender related) in this game is open for a single character. I have finished the game many times and now I don't have time or will to start multiple characters with different builds. I hope that these cheats don't bug the game more?
I don't think there's a "tag skill checks" in any of the Fallouts (except bonus equipment in Falllout 1). I think that you may miss some content regarding NPCs raising your skills. And I'm pretty sure you can enjoy 99 % of the content without cheating, because many skills have almost zero impact on the game - First aid, Sneak, Barter, Gambling and there are very few skill checks over 100 % (and AFAIK only Science and Repair).
Yes. For example, there's one check for Speech/Repair tagged to get the slaver guard outside Vic's cell door to let you through, one for Sneak tagged during Pretty Boy Lloyd quest, and one for many skills for the easter egg in the trap room on the Oil Rig. There are some more minor tag skill checks in the game, but usually no need to worry if your skill is high enough. You could check Per's guide for more detailed info, or searching "is_skill_tagged" in script source if you're really curious.
Convincing Cameron during the temple of trial is a rather unusual one that player must have Speech tagged. Judging from his script there's actually a roll check on Speech skill if player doesn't tag Speech, but the prerequisite of the dialog is player has Speech tagged...
Hrm, tried this and it didn't solve the issue.
I also tried lowercasing all the filenames just in case, but no luck, and nothing of use shows up on the console.
Already reinstalled a few hours ago just in case, by the way.
Hello everyone, I've got questions about how to get specific endings. This is my third Fallout 2 playthourgh, and the first one with the RP. Im sorry if this has already been discussed, I haven't read all the pages.
So i'm playing with the RP obviously, wich is terrific I absolutely love it. I have found the G.E.C.K but i'm now wondering what should I do with some situations:
_ If I want Vault City to peacefully join the NCR, do I need to do all the quest with the raiders and Bishop account book ? I've read that in vanilla Fallout 2, if you pick up Rendal reward after all of this, Vault City joins NCR and is not independant because of a bug. Is it still working that way or has it been fixed ?
I'd like to get the closest canon endings possible before I jump back into New Vegas for a second playthrough. I know that vault city eventually become a state of the NCR and that Westin married Lynette.
So im stuck. Do I need to kill him to get vault city to join NCR (I've already killed Bishop for the sake of Westin) ? Should I let the raiders alive ?
_ About Redding, I've done two things: I've delivered the chip to Marge, and gave the jet antidote to Dr. Johnson. But then I read that by doing so, Vault city will annex Redding, despite Marge getting the chip. Does it really works that way ? Do I have to kill dr. Johnson now to get redding to join NCR ?
I would like to avoid to kill innocent characters to get canon endings, but i wonder if that's not the only options I have now. Dr.Johnson is quite an asshole with is assistant and have all this stupid vaut city mentality but I don't think that's enough to kill him for that.
Thank you anyone who could answer to this !
1. Vault City ending has been fixed.
2. If you want the NCR ending but still want to deliver the jet antidote, you should deliver it right before going to the Oil Rig, and do not return to Redding downtown after one day later.
I looked at killap's profile and he didnt come here for almost 2 years, someone here who may have contact with him could ask him if he'll ever come back, in case he doesnt maybe ask him if someone can put the project at github so other ppl can keep the project going with new devs and stuff.
No one stops you... it's really a matter of having the devs.
Eh, you got it mixed up. If Westin and Lynette marry, then VC stays independent (I think it's implied that Lynnette nudged Westin towards keeping VC free of NCR's influence). So if you want a canon ending, you have to kill Westin (or just pretend that VC joins NCR willingly after Lynette and Westin retire from politics - there's a 40 year gap )
Btw. there are quite a few mentions of New Reno's mob families in NV. Wrights are probably the strongest in NV timeline, Bishops are still around, but it's unclear if John Bishop is still head of the family (Chosen One's child could be the boss in theory), Mordinos and Salvatores are either dead or their power is greatly diminished. Trouble is that New Reno endings and New Vegas canon contradict each other little bit. Check it out here:
I feel like that rare ending no. 10 is probably closest to the NV canon.
You should also get good endings for NCR, Broken Hills (well, the best one) and Modoc. I'm currently playing NV (after finishing F1 and F2) and I did what you're trying to do.
I've got a save which crashes when I say anything to the merchant in the Vault City courtyard. If I speak to him immediately after loading, he says nothing, but if I talk to someone else first, the merchant will deliver the same line as the previous person (and sometimes it don't crash then). My dialogue options are correct, but when I choose one the game crashes.
I have a hunch that the problem is related to the quest to bring guns to the molerat village. When that quest was active, he was waiting for me to give him money for the guns. But I ended up completing the question without ever buying the guns from him. I reckon he's glitching because he's still expecting the gun transaction, but the quest is no longer active.
(I didn't want to buy the guns from him because I only needed a couple of them - not all of them. But that's a different matter.)
The save game is attached, standing next to the guy who will crash it.
I doesnt' understand this either. Are someone else working on this mod now? And if not, would it be possible for the community to take over and put it up on github?
God dammit... no one is working. And no one can stop you from developing a patch to fix the issues. It's a matter of actually doing something, rather than waiting for "community".
"Who will help me make the bread..."
Admittedly that's double edged though... I certainly haven't helped with any of the major Fallout mods* that I've played; but these were done by interested parties, and then freely offered—no one demanded them of the community.
(*However, I did try when asked to help with one—before it fell apart.)
phobos2077 has already put the script source on GitHub. I've also put UP script source on GitHub and commited a few minor fixes.
is that decompiled or original source?
