Brahmin rustling quest: how-to?

THis is three question/answer lead to solving the quest:

1. Do you have the radscorpion limb? IF yes you can have that on your inventory and talk to Dunton brothers to scare them into confessing.

2. Do you talk to Maida (the mom, owner of the inn) about those dunton confession yet? If yes then you can receive a line in dialog aboput finding more evidence.

3. Do you LOOK at the brahmin in the pen behind dunton house after talking with Maida about confession yet? If yes then you can talk to the mother to finish the quest.

What other quest you want to play doesnt matter (guarding, scaring, Pay for sulik, rescue Smiley...)
 
Thanks guys. It went right this time through, but I went through the Save Smiley quest before finishing off the Duntons.

How many of you are doing The Primitive Village quest before going on to Modoc?
 
Hi there; does somebody know, what do I need to tell squaters in The Den, they can stay and help run the orphanage? It worked for a first time, but now, i don't have that option (with speech 77% and INT 10)

and btw - has anybody really managed to fly vertibird? I spent some time running around it, trying to click or use all sort of skills, talking with every human or computer at Navarro, but still nothing

You need speech 81 or 82 if I remember correctly.
 
A couple of gameplay question:

1) How do you recover the shi biology corpse?

2) How do you fins the Hubologist stash?

3) How do you fly the vertibird to the Enclave?

From hubogolist mainframe computer. Dont know the requirements as I had max stat/skill character. You need to be hubogolist to get in I think because I could not figure how to open the door after shooting the door guard (who tried to kick my adv. powerarmoured ass bare handed :mrgreen: ).

3) How do you fly the vertibird to the Enclave?

Could not figure that one out either.

And to answer the question, yes, it's possible to enter the bunker without being a Hubologist. You speech skill has got to be high. With high lockpick I tried to open the door, but it's not possible. Besides, the guard has no key on him. I thought he touched something on the building... but I didn't manage to find any switch.

If you want to enter when you're not an hubologist, you've got to tell the guard that AH9 sends you. Then the guard will ask you a question to be sure that you're an hubologist (the question is not always the same)

Aargh, I can't solve the Vault Village quest peacefully, I can't find the ghoul in Gecko that I'm supposed to talk to.. please help, where can I find this guy?

It's underground and it's not a ghoul.

EPA Things to do/Questions:

Main quests:

Collect 10 gecko pelts for the doctor,

and fix EPA lightning problem for the doctor.

Or, Find the tool the doctor left behind. It's stat or skill based which quest you get. You won't get the +1 AG stat reward from the tool quest.


Fix voice computer, quest from the director of security.

Clear out the the plant problem, quest from the director of ground maintenance.

Fix hologram 00000.

Fix the hologram that speaks with static.


Main quest for Abbey:

Get Botany Holodisk from computer on green sublevel three.


Other things to do:


Fix magnetic coil problem to be able to talk to the holograms.

Repair the toaster.

Clear the goo from two fans behind Mr. Chemmie.

Get hidden message about fluoridation of water, from computer on blue sublevel three.

Get info on epilepsy from same computer, to use with barking man in New Reno.

Get seeds and experimental seeds from computer on green sublevel three.

Plant experimental seeds in the garden, sublevel three. There's at least two different plants possible.
One spore plant and some bush.

Plant seeds in Arroyo (I think, game crashes every time I try).


Retrieve a test subject from Hibernation computer. I looked at the scripts and there are tree different people:

One who will die.

One warrior who will teach you something.

One spy who will also teach you something.

I couldn't figure out what the criteria is to get the different ones, I've only gotten the dying one.


You can release the trapped animals in the warehouse using the left computer. they will attack the doctor and his warriors will come out and attack you. If you take out the warriors and the animals, and the doctor survives, you still get to do his quests.

You can release the tribal with an explosive close to the forcefield emmitter. He just says thank you and runs away. Nothing more happens, no reward and the doctor don't care.

The dog food will heal Dogmeat 100%.

I haven't found any use for Bug and Plant spray, but they do have message files saying they have been used up.

Also, what to do with the cigarettes, shampoo, Pop rocks, test tube rack, trigger switch + trigger activated dynamite?


Does anyone know of anything more to do?


If you have problems with locked doors:

After you get the password "ABRE" and then open a door you haven't tried before (get a list of passwords) will make you unable to open any other doors afterwards.

To get around this, just try to open all the doors, so you get the "Confirm override code" message BEFORE you get the password.

I have been stuck with the Fix magnetic coil problem for quite a while, just how do you fix it and where? I have searched through the forums, but I still havent solved it...

Can anyone help me?

Use science on the left computer in the room behind the holograms.
 
Small but odd change- It seems Ed at Vault City had no dialogue options related to Vault 13 or Geck. As I recall, he's supposed to put some locations on the map and explain something about the water bottle that Vic sold.

Possible that I got all the locations he was going to offer, but still, that was odd.

I am playing the mod option in which characters appear in the armor that they should be wearing.

Which doesn't seem to work on Cassidy. (Also I like the talking head).
 
If you want Ed to give you locations of towns and give the dialogue about vault 13, it all starts back when you get Vic out of the Den. When he asks if he can repay you, you need to choose the dialogue "Tell me where Vault 13 is" and he will mention Ed in Vault City. I had the same problem when I started the expansion. Hope that helps

Imho, you need to keep Vic's water flask in your inventory.
 
As for the magnetic coil Fix:

I could only fix it AFTER I fixed the light generator for the Doc!

Man that was a hard time to figure that out!
