Fallout 2 vs Diablo 2 part 2

well... i made a program who votes automatically by sending the postdata... i left it running for about half an hour but realized D2 votes were growing too much... weird thing was that when I closed my proggy, D2 votes stopped growing... no comments on that, because I think the voting has been rigged and I prefer to keep thinking that way...
 
Heh...I think they might have an anti-cheating portion to their script. It's something as devious as I would use. The first vote goes for the one you're voting for, the rest of the votes from your IP go for the opposing voting option.

Nah, I thought so, too, but voting for D2 for a while didn't help either (yes, I admit, I gave that damn game about 10 of my votes :O )... :P
 
I don't get it: you really think their voting script does something wrong (give extra votes to DII ??). "Every time I voted, D2 went up by X! Outragous !!"

There's NO way you can tell how it works, unless you would be sure to be the only voter for a defined amount of time. There are like 1000 visitors over there at any time, and they all vote. Most of them voted for D2, big deal. There is no evil complot against fallout 2.

No, it simply means more people voted for DII - they've got a pretty big fanbase of l33t 13 year old players :roll:

Noticed that close to the same numbers showed up for FO2 AND D-lo2
as did in their last runway walks. So 5,000 plus meets 10,000 plus,
at a Gamespy web page, so it goes. And if one has really no love for D-lo2 then they'll show up on March 24th to spoil the sweep.

well... then next time we vote against diablo 2 with the same way, and hope we can beat it... this way, if we get an extra life, we´ll be against a game we helped, but this time we´ll go against it, making things more "fair"
 
Get serious, Diablo 2 is a huge game still played by thousands of people daily. It's in a different league, quantity wise, than Fallout 2

to dutch's old saying: well, there was a time... only one person belived that the earth goes around the sun... so you know the majority's belief is nothing.

fallout is my #1 favorite games, best rpg of all time hands down. Fallout's community is experiencing a lot of difficulties.

We vietnamese used to have a small fallout commutity... but it only lasted for 1 year because the producers are turning their back on fallout.

fallout series is the best, although fallout 3 is hopeless but I still belive fallout 3 or fallout-like games will come back, as long as we human still reaching for creativness, imagination and .... (some vietnamese world that i cant explain, something ..interpersonal ?)

Retarded? Diablo 2 is a pretty damn good action-CRPG if you ask me. Hell, I'd say that there are more retarded stuff in Fallout 2.

D2 is a better commercial game than Fallout 2. That's what it proves, that D2 is better designed to appeal to masses of people than Fallout 2. Its quality as a game can't be measured by the number of people buying it, only its quality as a seller, which is good

True dat. Diablo 2 is good for what game it's supposed to be, but it's not exactly an imaginative, creative or intelligent game. Then again, sequels rarely are. Fallout 2 isn't, for one.

Okay, that's it for me. I'm moving to one of them Diablo 2 forums. I'm not hanging out with a minority any longer. In the long run, minorities always get prosecuted or killed or discriminated anyway.

P.S. Blade Runner is not being serious. He is suffering from what is called 'loneliness' which is a very serious disease, by the way. Chances are he might not even make it, but nevertheless: give him a little time and maybe, just maybe, he might recuperate. (Doctor Popthempinkpills)
