Fallout 3 hits Steam

The screen shots are crap and it doesn't seem as though you can bind keys (a carry over problem from Oblivion).
You can rebind your controls in oblivion. Or are you referring to how the ingame door keys weren't stackable?

I may be thinking of not being able to bind the quick keys. All I remember is that you had to mess with the .ini to properly change the key set up.

Also, what are you blocking with in this game? Do you need shields or are you blocking bullets with your arms?

Yeah, no kidding. Intense Training perk with 10 ranks from level 2?! LEVEL 2? Pretty much negates all the importance the characteristics used to have.

plus, IIRC, the bobble heads you can find in the game will provide more bonuses (i THINK to stat points).

Unless going beyond 10 means something in this game. Of course, using 10 ranks or intense training i guess wastes other perk opportunities, if you even wanted them

YIELDING
If you start a fight you can’t win, you can attempt to yield to your opponent. Simply holster your
weapon (Hold R), and if they accept your yield, your opponent will cease combat. Otherwise, you’ll
need to keep fighting, or run away.

Sigh.

But what happens after combat ceases? Do they confiscate all your items, or allow you to just walk off?

They're pretty interchangeable at this point.

I'm at work, and I just let out a WTF?!? After reading some this manual.

Had my next door neighbor come over and ask me if everything was ok.

feck the vault boys are messed up

some are obvious retraces and new stances glued on by people who dont know figure drawing (i'm repeating myself)

see the sneak one for example...

Hah, Bethesda forum thread about the manual has been deleted, so looks like Steam was not meant to release it. Pretty silly to be so paranoid about it 4 days before the game's release.

What kind of garbage was going on in the thread? I bet Pete is calling and raising all sorts of Cain.

@radnan - I also thought the sneak character looked a bit odd.

You get a Perk EVERY level, that are 19 perks!!!!!! No problem to use 10 of those on stats.

Every time you level up your Health increases, you gain Skill Points to
assign to your skills, and you can choose a new perk .

Odd, it tells me object unavailable.

Right click and download it, worked for me.

I can't believe some of the perks that I'm seeing here, nothing but stat/skill boosts.

Anyone knows why they took Awareness away? that was useful. Oh well, I'm not even gonna play this game so... let it burn.

I knew this before hand, but reading it makes it worse... There is NO ying and yang, meaning every perk is good, no downside. To me that was Fallout, you have to take the god with the bad. There was a downside to life, in F3... its only good. Sort of kills the crafting of a character to me. Still may enjoy this game, but it will be missing a lot of what made Fallout Fallout.

Mister Sandman sounds largely useless, I wonder why all the mystery around it back in the E3 previews. Is this the whole list of non-quest-related perks?

Cannibal
Ranks Available: 1
Requirements: None
With the Cannibal perk, when you're in Sneak mode, you gain the option to eat a corpse to regain Health.

Hahaha oh boy, this is priceless. Who would have thought they actually listened to their fans? I saw this exact template on an Elder Scrolls wiki once for "role-playing" a cannibal in Oblivion, crouching besides it with stealth and everything.

Are there any negative ways to affect your character, other then through damage, radiation and drug use?

And it appears nothing is permanent, or is that incorrect?

Just love the Child at Heart perk picture. Pedo here we come!

You only get new perks to choose from every 2 levels?

EDIT: What's this? Cannibal has negative effects?!

Level 20 blows, I was expecting some extremely good perk to pick from. I guess that you can pick other skills from 18 or something, but I was expecting End game over the top perk for htis. Well grim reaper is pretty good actually, but I was expecting like 5 good perks to choose from.

Ninja is pretty good, I think. Still, I don't know why in fuck they didn't just call it "slayer". Fags.
