I guess that's why there's loli mods for Fallout 3 now
And you would know this... how? :|

Also, the Japanese usually have very bad taste in RPGs, due to there being so many jRPGs. The majority of those are drawn in Animé style, which the western world isn't that familiar with and aren't huge fans of it. Though Final Fantasy is quite popular in the western world too.

I call foul. No way is X better than VII.

VII has more fanboys, that's all. They are all great games and it's hard to say which is better. I prefer VIII and X over VII, but I like them all. My favorite would be X, though.

I love Final Fantasy myself. It's not the kind of a game as Fallout or Baldur's Gate. It's entirely different and shouldn't be compared to those titles like that, seriously.

It's like saying Pink Floyd is worse than Beethoven. Different genres, that's all.

Besides, who cares. The "good" is subjective to a point where there is virtually no indicator of a good or bad art, it's really all about taste.

I think it's comparable to Baldur's Gate in the sense that it has a history of terrible combat systems and relies heavily on the draw of a linear, central plot which - sadly - is horribly written tripe with asinine character.

To be honest the combat system, while lame and extremely inbalanced, gave me much much more fun than Fallout's (even though Fallout's system was also horribly balanced)

And the story - yes, it's lame. It still has that Asian "magic". The music, the background - to be honest it's much more powerful to me than any of Fallout games' stories. But that's just me. You have to like that a little emo narration. I just like plots based on emotions. Fallout is the exact opposite: it's an interestingly constructed world with excellent narration, immersive, but without any emotions at all. Must simply be not your kind of a game.

Man, Fallout 3? No Secret of Mana? No Xenogears? No Golden Sun? No Lunar Legend? Shenanigans!

The list would be better if they made a distinction between crpgs and jrpgs. The genres differ so much it's stupid they are on the same list.

I call super foul. First person shooters make most of the Japanese population motion sick. Like Alec.
It's a serious problem. Look it up. Like at the Metroid Prime sales figures there compared to Super Metroid.
srsly

I call foul.

Final Fantasy is not that good a series.

It's solid and a good play the first time around. Not the greatest thing ever, but I'd say it's decent.

Oh, and Japanese folk have weird taste in video games.

Dating sims.

They have DATING SIMS.

Weird taste? Boy, I guess. And Final Fantasy is largely dreck. FFVI was able to hold my attention for a little while, but I was fairly young at the time... I'll let that speak for itself.

jRPGs aren't ALL bad, just mostly...

The only JRPG's I ever liked was the original Wild Arms and Lost Odyssey.

Final Fantasy is just garbage and 7 is very overrated. I gave that game a chance and it just bored the hell out of me. The only FF game I remotely liked was 9, and ironically many fans didn't even like that game!
